Nghe An: Teacher arrested and detained for groping elementary school girl.
(Baonghean.vn) - A male teacher has been prosecuted and detained after being temporarily suspended from his duties by the district leadership for four days.
On the morning of February 25th, a source from the Criminal Investigation Agency of Con Cuong District Police said that the unit had initiated a criminal case, charged and temporarily detained Mr. Nguyen Van HN (52 years old, residing in Con Cuong town) for investigation into the crime of child molestation. Mr. N. is a teacher at Bong Khe Primary School and was recently accused by students of repeatedly engaging in inappropriate behavior.

On February 17th, a fifth-grade female student from Bong Khe Primary School came home crying and told her parents that she had been touched inappropriately by teacher N. at school. The parents then reported the incident to the school and local authorities. Local authorities from Bong Khe commune, where the incident occurred, along with the school, immediately met with the student to investigate. During the investigation, the student also mentioned that many other students had been touched inappropriately by the teacher but were too afraid to speak out.
On February 21st, Mr. Hoang Sy Kien, Chairman of the People's Committee of Con Cuong District, issued a decision to temporarily suspend the teacher from his duties. The reason for the temporary suspension of Mr. N. is to facilitate the investigation by the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Con Cuong District Police. "The suspension period is from February 21st until the conclusion of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Con Cuong District Police," the decision of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Con Cuong District clearly states.
