Mr. Ho Ba Vo - Chairman of the Advisory Council for Democracy and Law said that members of the advisory councils need to proactively research to propose and advise on the contents that need to be debated by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front. Photo: Mai Hoa |
At the conference, the participants also frankly raised some limitations and difficulties. It is worth noting that members of the advisory councils who are current officials have little time to actively participate; for members who are retired officials, information is scarce, information is slow, and access to reality is limited, which affects the quality of comments and criticism, especially in specialized fields.
On the other hand, in the criticism activities, the councils and members of the councils have not proactively studied legal documents to detect inadequacies, propose to competent authorities to amend or abolish them; proactively grasp and propose criticism of issues that the public is interested in, concerned about, and reported by the press.
Besides, sending documents for comments from the Provincial People's Committee and departments and branches in a short period of time causes passivity and affects the quality of comments and comments.

To continue improving the quality of the advisory councils' activities, the conference discussed key tasks and solutions that need to be focused on in 2023. In particular, it emphasized the requirement that each member of the advisory councils make efforts, enhance responsibility, proactively research and survey the reality to proactively propose to the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province the content that needs to be criticized; at the same time, actively participate in the activities of giving comments and criticism on documents proposed by the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and departments and branches.
On the responsibility side, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee is concerned with providing information and current regulations and proactively sending documents to councils and council members to contribute and provide better quality feedback in the coming time.
