(Baonghean.vn) - Sy and Phuc became slaves to the “brown fairy” and participated in drug trafficking. To avoid detection by the authorities, the two subjects hid the drugs in an unexpected place.

Two friends "progressing together"

Dang Danh Sy (born in 1985), residing in Cua Nam ward, Vinh city (Nghe An province) and Chu Van Phuc (born in 1987), residing in Ha Tinh city (Ha Tinh province), although living in two different provinces, drugs "dragged" both of them to court. While Phuc was prosecuted and brought to trial for the crime ofIllegal drug traffickingSy had to stand trial at the same time for two crimes: buying, selling and illegally possessing drugs.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time the two have been in court. Before that, for nearly ten years, Dang Danh Sy had been living in a life of "prison food, prison clothes". In 2008, despite being married and a father, Sy became a "bad example" when he was sentenced to 16 months in prison for illegal drug trafficking. Less than 2 years later, Sy received another sentence, also for drug-related crimes. This time, Sy was sentenced to 26 months in prison.

Not long after serving his prison sentence, in 2014 Dang Danh Sy was sentenced by the Vinh City People's Court to 5 years in prison for illegal possession of narcotics. It was thought that after 3 times in prison, Sy would learn to fear and give up using that banned substance. But then, the father once again made his wife, children, and relatives ashamed. That was the fact that Sy ordered drugs to sell to a subject in Ha Tinh named Chu Van Phuc.

Phuc has also been in trouble with the law many times. Between 2006 and 2013, Phuc was sent to educational and medical facilities twice. Also because of drug use, Phuc was administratively punished by the government.

In 2015, Chu Van Phuc was sentenced to 6 months in prison for illegal detention. 2 years later, Phuc was imprisoned again with a 24-month sentence for illegal possession of narcotics. Not long after serving his prison sentence for drugs, Phuc turned to drugs again and was issued an administrative penalty by Ha Tinh City Police for illegal possession of narcotics in 2022.

It seems that the administrative penalties and even imprisonment imposed by the authorities have not made Phuc afraid and live in compliance with the law. Instead, this man continues to carry out new drug trafficking cases.

Trick to hide drugs in traffic sign poles

Regarding the drug trafficking case in which Phuc was the buyer and Sy was the seller, the case file shows that on May 24, 2022, Phuc called Sy to order 1 cake of heroin, 50 ecstasy pills and 10 grams of Ketamine to bring to Ha Tinh to sell for profit. Sy quoted a price of 220 million VND, so Phuc transferred 210 million VND in advance.

To have drugs to sell to customers, the next day, Sy bought drugs from a man named Long “deo” (unknown background and address) for 195 million VND. After taking out some drugs to use, Sy did not leave them in the house but took the drug package to the power station to hide.

On the evening of June 2, 2022, Sy drove a car to the Vinh City bypass area. To avoid detection by authorities and passersby, Sy hid the drugs at the foot of a traffic sign and then left. Over the phone, Sy instructed Phuc on where to hide the drugs. Based on Sy's instructions, Phuc drove a car to pick up the "goods". After that, Phuc drove a car carrying the drugs straight to Ha Tinh. However, when he reached the Ben Thuy 2 bridge area, Phuc was surrounded and arrested by authorities. Based on Phuc's testimony, the police arrested Sy.

Authorities determined that Chu Van Phuc must bear criminal responsibility for buying and selling more than 450 grams of drugs. Dang Danh Sy must bear criminal responsibility for illegally possessing nearly 5 grams of drugs and buying and selling more than 384 grams of various drugs.

At the recent trial, the two defendants confessed their crimes. Both defendants admitted that they were drug addicts and had been imprisoned many times for various crimes. Regarding the money used to buy drugs, Phuc said he got it from driving a taxi. Regarding the vehicles used to commit the crimes, the two defendants admitted that they belonged to relatives and asked the court to consider returning them.

Considering that in this case both defendants have bad personal records, the panel sentenced them to 20 years in prison for illegal drug trafficking, and defendant Dang Danh Sy to an additional 1 year and 6 months in prison for illegal drug possession; the total sentence is 21 years and 6 months in prison.
