Nghe An: Gambling ring busted, dozens arrested
(Baonghean.vn) - Under the direct direction of the leaders of Nghe An Provincial Police, the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police has just presided over and coordinated with related units to successfully destroy a large-scale gambling ring, arresting 21 subjects and seizing more than 280 million VND in cash.

Accordingly, at 5:00 p.m. on March 1, 2023, under the direct direction of the leaders of Nghe An Provincial Police, the Criminal Police Department presided over and coordinated with Cua Lo Town Police and related units to successfully break the case, arresting 21 subjects who were gambling in the form of dice shaking at the house of Nguyen Thi Yen (born in 1988), residing in Nghi Hai Ward, Cua Lo Town, seizing more than 280 million VND in cash, 22 mobile phones and many related exhibits.

This is a gambling ring led by Hoang Van Tho (born in 1981), residing in Nghi Hai ward, Cua Lo town. To avoid detection, Tho hired Nguyen Van Hoi (born in 1984), residing in Nghi Hai ward, Cua Lo town, to directly find solid houses with a single entrance, then contact and negotiate with many gamblers in Vinh city, Cua Lo town, Nghi Loc district to organize gambling and gambling.
