Do Luong: New market abandoned, traders set up makeshift tents to sell goods
(Baonghean.vn) - After nearly 5 years of completion and use, the fresh food market area of the Lifsap Project in Bai Son Market, Do Luong District still has no traders coming to trade. Instead of going to the new market hall, traders gather near the market gate, setting up makeshift tents to sell their goods.

At Bai Son market,Do Luong, the fresh food market area of the Lifsap Project was built from 2019 to present. The inside of the market is invested in quite synchronously, there are 20 fresh meat stalls with full amenities such as electricity, water, storage compartments...
However, the entire area is abandoned, the table tops are covered in dust, some items have not been used for a long time and have deteriorated. Some other rows of kiosks nearby are also not used for their intended purpose, nearby people use them as places to dry their belongings and blankets.

Meanwhile, in the area near the market gate, traders welded iron frames and set up makeshift tents to sell meat and goods. A trader selling pork at the Bai Son market gate said: Traders do not want to enter the new market because the market was built quite deep, customers are afraid to go in to buy, if traders go there to do business, it will only be sluggish.
Mr. Dao Danh Ha, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bai Son Commune, said: Currently, the commune is continuing to implement solutions to promote and mobilize small traders to sell their products in the fresh food market area with synchronous infrastructure investment. However, this seems to be very difficult because customers often have the habit of buying near the market gate.
