Central Committee of Vietnam Veterans Association works in Nghe An province

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 7, the delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association led by Lieutenant General Khuat Viet Dung - Vice President had a working session with the Veterans Association of Nghe An province.

Welcoming and working with the delegation was comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

On behalf of the Provincial Veterans Association, there were Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi - Chairman of the Association; Colonel Nguyen Duy Can - Vice Chairman of the Association and representatives of the Association's departments and offices.

At the meeting, on behalf of the leaders of the Provincial Veterans Association, Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi - Chairman of the Association reported on the results of implementing tasks after the congress for the 2022 - 2027 term. Accordingly,Veterans AssociationThe province currently has 27 district, town, and city associations and associations of affiliated agencies and units; 533 grassroots associations, 3,800 branches; and over 174,504 members.

Returning to normal life, generations of Nghe An veterans still preserve and promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", continuing to shine in today's life.

After the congress for the 2022-2027 term, the Association at all levels implemented its tasks and initially achieved results in the fields of propaganda work; organization and plan development and implementation. In particular, the coordination with provincial departments, branches and sectors (Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Provincial Youth Union, Provincial Military Command...) to carry out political tasks is outstanding.

At the same time, implementing a number of provincial projects such as the Project "Building Party cells, developing Party members in blocks, hamlets, and villages without Party cells, without Party members, and blocks, hamlets, and villages at risk of no longer having Party cells in the period 2016 - 2020"; continuing to support the construction of houses for poor households,Memberin particularly difficult circumstances; implementing the model of "Veterans developing the economy".

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged and evaluated the results achieved during the operation and shared the difficulties of the Provincial Veterans Association in the process of deploying and performing tasks. At the same time, he informed the Central Working Group of the Vietnam Veterans Association of some basic features of the province's socio-economic situation in 2022.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also expressed his hope that the Central Veterans Association would continue to pay attention to and support the Nghe An Veterans Association. Speaking at the meeting, Lieutenant General Khuat Viet Dung - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association highly appreciated the role and contributions of the provincial Veterans Association in the cause of socio-economic development.
