Opening of the festival of television workers nationwide

After 2 years of postponement due to the pandemic, the 41st National Television Festival promises to be a memorable festival, a place to meet, share, exchange experiences, and hone expertise of television workers across the country.

Over the past 2 years, the Television industry has undergone dramatic changes in production methods and audience approach due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the rapid development of new technology and media.
Adapting to the changes in the industry, this year's Festival has returned with many innovations in its rules, both in line with the general trend and contributing to further honoring the best visual journalism works both on air and digital platforms.
Most notably, from 2023, the National Television Festival will be held every two years, alternating with the National Radio Festival to ensure professionalism and quality of activities within the framework of the Festival.
This festival also marks the return of the short reportage genre, which is a strength and meets the needs of television stations across the country.
In addition, the Festival also expanded the video genre on digital platforms, added the categories of TV sketches, music videos, adjusted the duration of works and regulations on some other genres to suit the current reality of television production.
With many innovations in the competition rules, the 41st National Television Festival is also the festival with the largest number of registered works in history, reaching 714 works in 11 categories, of which the most are the two categories of short reportage and reportage.
The National Television Festival is also an extremely valuable opportunity to exchange professional experiences, to learn and inspire new ideas and good practices. The three conference topics selected within the framework of the Festival are "News production and distribution in the digital age", "Television graphics - Practice and development trends", "Conference on television technology" are all issues of interest to television stations, closely following changes in technology, habits, and psychology of current television viewers, in line with the context of promoting digital transformation.
2023 is expected to be a challenging year for television stations due to the impact of economic difficulties and fierce competition in the advertising market. Therefore, the Festival is expected to help television colleagues across the country gain more experience to unite, strive to overcome difficulties and complete tasks well in the coming time.

In his welcoming speech at the Festival, Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung emphasized that despite being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the city's gross domestic product still maintained a growth rate of 12-13% per year; total budget revenue has exceeded the 100,000 billion VND mark, reaching over 109,000 billion VND in 2022.
Hai Phong's strong development today is primarily due to the attention and leadership of Party and State leaders; the enthusiastic support of central ministries and branches, and especially the closeness and companionship with the city of television agencies, news agencies and newspapers nationwide.
