This is considered a bold step, clearly demonstrating the leading orientation of the Party's mouthpiece.

Nhan Dan Newspaper, with its role, function and mission, is the first press agency in the country to pioneer in publishing specialized supplements and separate topics on the six socio-economic regions to enhance information and propaganda on the deployment and implementation of the Politburo's Resolution on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the six regions mentioned above.

In the context of general difficulties in publishing printed newspapers, Nhan Dan Newspaper has boldly taken the lead, innovated and created initiatives that are correct and in line with the current atmosphere in the way the Party and State carry out tasks to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

The Deputy Minister said that the six Resolutions of the Politburo on the six socio-economic regions demonstrate the Party's vision, thinking, and new working methods in this term, which is to proactively issue resolutions and proactively have implementation and dissemination programs. Along with these six Resolutions, six national online conferences were held to disseminate the resolutions.

The Government has also adopted a new approach, organizing six major conferences in six socio-economic regions in a 3-in-1 format: announcing the action program, promoting investment, announcing investment commitments and exhibiting photos of socio-economic achievements of each region, thereby spreading the message of the Politburo, the Party and the State on regional development, making regional thinking the leading thinking in socio-economic development.

In those accompanying efforts, the press and media always play an important role, as the Party and State's viewpoint has determined: the media must go first, proactively pave the way to change perceptions and create consensus.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Lam stated that this is not the first time Nhan Dan Newspaper has demonstrated its leading role in finding new ways of expression and new playgrounds for journalists to develop their intelligence, contributing to promoting the country's development according to the direction set by the Party and State.

The Deputy Minister of Information and Communications expressed his belief that this approach would inspire local party press agencies, injecting new motivation and new ideas into the press. He also said that the launching ceremony of Nhan Dan Newspaper's supplement was held on the same day that the Prime Minister signed and issued Directive No. 07 on strengthening policy communication, which affirmed the important role of the press in policy communication.

From the perspective of state management agencies, the Ministry of Information and Communications hopes that leading press agencies will support state management work in leadership and administration by leading and setting an example.

Emphasizing the importance of regional linkages between provinces in the region, he suggested that on a special page on socio-economic regions, Nhan Dan Newspaper should specifically base on the advantages and difficulties of the region to propagate and boldly propose policies and guidelines to the Party, State and Government to have mechanisms and policies for regional development in difficult regions such as the midland and mountainous regions of the North.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, veteran journalist Ha Dang, former Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, emphasized that this is a huge step forward in the career of the Party newspaper and the Vietnamese press in general. Welcoming the bold move of Nhan Dan Newspaper, journalist Ha Dang expressed his hope that the Vietnamese press will continue to develop in a creative and innovative direction.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Dinh Nhu Hoan expressed that the launch of six regional pages of Nhan Dan Newspaper will be a broad forum, a diverse and substantive information channel for leaders, managers, experts, Party committees and authorities at all levels, ministries, branches and a large number of people to participate in leadership aspects, contribute ideas to build, criticize and perfect regional linkage policies as well as fully and comprehensively reflect the socio-economic development situation, security and defense of the whole region and each locality in the region, as well as experiences, models, initiatives and good lessons learned in each locality and region.

This also demonstrates the Party newspaper's propaganda motto of ensuring both national and regional connectivity across various forms of multimedia journalism.

To effectively implement propaganda, close coordination between press agencies and relevant localities, ministries and sectors as responsible entities is indispensable. Nhan Dan Newspaper sincerely thanks and hopes to continue receiving support from localities, ministries, sectors and businesses nationwide, Deputy Editor-in-Chief Dinh Nhu Hoan shared.

The supplement on the six socio-economic regions in Nhan Dan Newspaper has six special pages corresponding to the six regions, published with Nhan Dan Newspaper daily on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On Nhan Dan Electronic Newspaper and Nhan Dan Television, there will be special pages on the Northern Midlands and Mountains; Mekong Delta; Central Highlands; Southeast; North Central and Central Coast; and Red River Delta.

Each newspaper page, each article in the special page supplements and columns carries out the task of propagating the exploitation and promotion of regional advantages, thereby contributing to effectively implementing the goals set forth by the 13th National Party Congress.

With three supplements per week, it is hoped that the 118 supplements in 2023 of the six socio-economic regions will contribute multi-dimensional perspectives reflecting the increasingly effective implementation of regional development policies in localities, thereby changing the appearance, vision, and development orientation of each region and the lives of each person.
