Ms. Vi Thi Phuong, owner of Ban Ken homestay, said: The family has been doing community tourism for 3 years now. To renew and make the homestay more beautiful to attract tourists in the 2023 tourist season, the family has spent over 100 million VND to renew the gate and fence.

Ms. Vi Thi Phuong said: Preparing for the new tourist season, the family has stocked up on a large amount of chickens raised on the hill and fish raised in the pond ready to serve diners. Along with that, for the past few months, the family has been taking good care of the bamboo hill to get ingredients to make sticky rice.

Serving tourists staying at the homestay, the stilt house has been cleaned and airy. The curtains, blankets, and pillows have also been washed and smelled fresh... In recent weeks, the households working in tourism have also coordinated with two art troupes in the village to practice the folk songs and dances of the Thai people.

It is known that before the tourist season begins, households doing community tourism in Khe Ran village in particular and the district in generalCon CuongIn general, they have all participated in training courses on how to welcome and serve tourists organized by the Department of Tourism and Con Cuong district.

Similarly, tourism service businesses in Con Cuong district are also making thorough preparations for the new tourist season. Ms. Vi Thi Tham - Director of Pha Lai Eco-Tourism Area said: Since mid-March, the company has recruited additional staff, and at the same time renovated the landscape and environment; built miniature landscapes for check-in; and repaired accommodation facilities for guests. It is expected that by the end of March, the renovation will be completed and the tourist area will be ready to welcome guests.

At this time, Pu Mat National Park - the management unit of 2 provincial tourist attractions is also actively preparing for the new tourist season. At Khe Kem waterfall area, the Park has rebuilt the check-in system, souvenir and food shops. At the Park's office area, tourist and resort areas have also been renovated and upgraded. In addition, the rescue isolation area is also separated from the tourist area to avoid affecting the rescue of endangered and rare animals.

Mr. Tran Xuan Cuong - Director of Pu Mat National Park added: Currently, the Park is coordinating with the Vietnam Wildlife Conservation Center to build a tour, a route that takes visitors deep into the primeval forest with a fee. Each tour like this lasts from 2-3 days. When participating in this tour, visitors will experience activities related to nature, camping, watching animals, listening to gibbons singing...

After completion, the Garden will build its own tourism website; calling on businesses to participate in exploitation and operation. The Garden only plays the role of promoting, managing, monitoring and collecting forest environmental service fees. The Garden strives to put this tour and route into operation soon.

To support Con Cuong district and Pu Mat National Park in developing tourism, in the past 2 days (March 19-20), Nghe An Department of Tourism organized a delegation to survey and develop local tourism products in 2023. Specifically, the delegation surveyed the trekking route in Pu Mat National Park and potential destinations in Binh Chuan commune, namely Na Co dam, Tham Tong cave and the water wheel system.

The delegation evaluated and gave suggestions to Con Cuong district and Pu Mat National Park to improve the products and improve the quality of the destination. The tourism businesses participating in the delegation also made plans to bring tourists back to the locality.

Con Cuong district sets a target of welcoming and serving about 100,000 visitors in 2023 (an increase of 132% compared to 2022), of which tourism service revenue is estimated at about 85 billion VND.

In preparation for the new tourist season, right from the beginning of the year, the People's Committee of Con Cuong district issued a Tourism Development Plan. Tourism development solutions include: Focusing on exploiting Pha Lai - Song Giang Tourist Area, the revolutionary historical relic of Mr. Vi Van Khang's house in Mon Son commune... promoting cooperation and association to develop tourism inside and outside the province, while enhancing image promotion; strengthening management of tourism service quality...

Mr. Vi Van Quy - Vice Chairman of Con Cuong District People's Committee stated: In 2023, the district will focus on building and completing tourism infrastructure and training human resources to create momentum for sustainable and long-term development. At this time, the district is implementing a project to upgrade and expand the road from National Highway 7 to Khe Kem waterfall.

Along with that, Con Cuong district is constructing a new Pha Lai boat station to serve tourists as well as the needs of the people. The new boat station will have a waiting room and strict management. All ships and boats must be registered and inspected to ensure quality before operating. It is expected that the station will be operational by mid-April 2023.

In 2023, Con Cuong district is also focusing on planning and attracting investment projects in tourism towards protecting the ecological environment and sustainable development. The tourist areas that are focused on calling for and attracting are Ta Bo Eco-tourism Area; Nua village community cultural tourism site; Tham Nang Man tourist site; Ma Nhai stele National Historical Site tourist site; Tra Lan ancient citadel in Thanh Nam village./.
