(Baonghean.vn) - Up to this point, nearly 45% of grassroots trade unions in Nghe An province have completed organizing the Trade Union Congress for the 2023 - 2028 term.

The conference listened to and discussed the situation of grassroots trade union congresses and the implementation of plans for grassroots trade union congresses. Accordingly, by the end of March 24, 2023, the whole province had 1,291/2,875 grassroots trade unions holding congresses at the end of their term, reaching a rate of 44.9%.

The Labor Federations of districts, cities, towns, and trade unions of sectors that are active in directing the grassroots trade union congresses are: Thai Hoa town Labor Federation organized congresses of 68/71 grassroots trade unions, reaching 97.75%; Do Luong district Labor Federation with 144/155 grassroots trade unions, reaching 93%; Nghia Dan district Labor Federation with 88/119 grassroots trade unions, reaching 74%; Thanh Chuong district Labor Federation with 121/170 grassroots trade unions, reaching 71.17%; Dien Chau district Labor Federation with 134/197 grassroots trade unions, reaching 68%; Civil Servants' Trade Union held congresses of 28/49 grassroots trade unions, reaching 57.14%...

Some District Labor Federations and Industry Trade Unions directed the grassroots trade union congresses with a low rate: Quynh Luu District Labor Federation organized congresses of 8/165 grassroots trade unions, reaching 4.85%; Cua Lo Town Labor Federation with 5/68 grassroots trade unions, reaching 7.35%; Transport Industry Trade Union with 1/30 grassroots trade unions, reaching 3.33%; Construction Industry Trade Union with 1/22 grassroots trade unions, reaching 4.55%...

In preparation for the congress of the Trade Union at the grassroots level, the Provincial Labor Federation selected 03 units to organize model congresses, which are Thai Hoa Town Labor Federation, Do Luong District Labor Federation, and Agriculture and Rural Development Trade Union. According to the registration of the 03 units, Thai Hoa Town Labor Federation will organize the congress on April 12, 2023, Do Luong District Labor Federation will organize the congress on May 8, 2023, and Agriculture and Rural Development Trade Union will organize the congress on May 15, 2023.

For District Labor Federations and Industry Trade Unions that do not organize congresses, the basic point registration time for the congress is June 2023; some units register for the congress in early July 2023.

At the conference, members of the Provincial Federation of Labor Executive Committee discussed the difficulties, shortcomings and limitations in organizing the Congresses of Trade Unions at the grassroots level and directly above the grassroots level, and at the same time made proposals and recommendations to remove difficulties in order to speed up the progress of Congresses at all levels.

Speaking at the Conference, comrade Kha Van Tam - Member of the Party Executive Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation emphasized: In order for the Trade Union Congresses at all levels to be organized in accordance with regulations, progress and soon move towards the 19th Nghe An Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2023-2028, trade unions at all levels need to seriously review, deploy, and develop plans and contents of the congress.

During the preparation for the congress, trade unions at all levels must report and ask for guidance from the Party Committee and trade unions at higher levels when problems arise; seek help and support from the authorities and experts at the same level; and develop specific and tight documents and programs for the congress. In particular, during the process of developing personnel plans, it is necessary to closely follow the new directives of the Central and the province.

The conference also gave opinions on the Personnel Project for the 19th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Trade Union, term 2023-2028; and gave opinions on the draft political report to be submitted to the congress./.
