Nghe An organizes 'Border March' at Chau Khe Border Post

On the afternoon of March 31, at Chau Khe Border Post, Chau Khe Commune, Con Cuong District, the Provincial Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union of Hung Yen and Nghe An provinces coordinated with the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province to organize the "March Border Program 2023".

Attending the program were comrade Vu Hong Luyen - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union; Thai Minh Sy - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province; Lieutenant Colonel Truong Lam Toi - Deputy Head of Political Department of the Provincial Border Guard along with representatives of local government leaders and related units.

Speaking at the program, Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union Vu Hong Luyen affirmed that March every year is always a special time for Vietnamese youth when union members and young people across the country actively compete to participate in projects and tasks contributing to the socio-economic development of localities and units. This is also an opportunity for young people to turn to the Fatherland's border, participating in meaningful activities to celebrate the anniversary of the Border Guard's tradition day and the People's Border Guard Day.

The program is a practical activity to raise awareness and foster ideals of territorial sovereignty and national borders for members and young people. From there, it promotes the spirit of vanguard and volunteerism of young people in participating in socio-economic development, strengthening national defense and security, contributing to further tightening the solidarity between members, youth and officers, soldiers of the Border Guard and people in border areas.

To promote the pioneering and volunteering role of young people in joining hands to build new rural areas and support young people in starting a business, establishing a career, and developing the economy, the Provincial Youth Union - Youth Union of Nghe An province decided to support the construction of a volleyball court for young people and provide loans for young people to develop the economy of Chau Khe commune worth 100 million VND.

On this occasion, the Provincial Border Guard Command presented 1,000 national flags to the people and officers in the border area of ​​Con Cuong district and 500 national flags to the Border Marker Self-Management Team of Chau Khe commune.

On this occasion, the Program Organizing Committee coordinated with the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education to award 20 scholarships to ethnic minority students in difficult circumstances; and also presented 600 notebooks and 500 red scarves to the Chau Khe Primary School Union.
