Vinh City directs 24/7 monitoring of karaoke establishments in the area.
(Baonghean.vn) - According to the directive, wards and communes in Vinh City must assign personnel to be on duty at karaoke establishments that do not meet the operating requirements in order to tighten management, ensure security and order, and prevent and fight fires.
Recently, on March 30th, the People's Committee of Vinh City issued Document No. 1543/UBND-CA on strengthening and tightening state management of fire prevention and fighting for business establishments.karaokeThe bar has been suspended from operation and has pledged to cease operations within the city limits.
The reason for issuing this document stems from the current situation where karaoke and bar establishments, despite being suspended, continue to operate secretly, especially in the evening, late at night, and early in the morning, posing a potential risk of fire and explosion, causing significant loss of life and property.

In the document, Mr. Tran Quang Lam - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh City - requested the heads of departments, agencies, and organizations at the city level, and the chairmen of the People's Committees of relevant wards and communes to strictly manage karaoke and bar businesses that have been suspended from operation and have committed to voluntarily ceasing operations within the city.

In particular, the People's Committees of wards and communes mobilize functional forces to closely coordinate with the ward and commune police in monitoring the implementation of regulations by establishments, absolutely not allowing establishments to operate without ensuring conditions regarding security, order, fire prevention and control, and obtaining the necessary business licenses as prescribed. A task force will be established to closely monitor karaoke and bar businesses that have been suspended from operation and have committed to ceasing operations within the area, 24/7.
Specifically in Hung Binh, Hung Phuc, Hung Dung, Ben Thuy, and Truong Thi wards, in addition to monitoring establishments in their areas, a task force is deployed daily from 8 PM onwards to coordinate with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to monitor five key karaoke establishments: Karaoke 48 Nguyen Sy Sach, Bentley, Vertu, Apec, and Omega, to guide and prevent people from using the services if fire safety conditions are not met.

The People's Committee of Vinh City also noted that if any ward or commune allows these establishments to operate clandestinely, the chairman of the People's Committee of that ward or commune will be held responsible before the Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh City.
According to statistics, the province currently has 415 karaoke establishments and 9 bars/pubs. Vinh City alone has 31 karaoke establishments and 9 bars/pubs. Currently, only 2 pubs, Hustle and The Local pub in Vinh City, meet the operating requirements (due to brick walls, no flammable materials used, and adequate escape routes...), while the rest have been suspended or ceased operations, mostly because the decorative and soundproofing materials do not meet standards.
