At the age of nearly 80, People's Artist Bach Tuyet is still devoted to art. Recently, she surprised everyone when she appeared in the movie "The Very Good Squad". On this occasion, "Cai Luong Chi Bao" shared many things about the process of participating in the project.

I have never been satisfied with anything in my life.

People's Artist Bach Tuyet gave many compliments to the young, dynamic actors in the play. The squad is fine.

* GreetPeople's Artist Bach Tuyet, why did she accept to participate in the movie? The squad is fine.?

- People's Artist Bach Tuyet:It is 100% true that I do not like to participate in movies. Many film and theater projects invite me, almost every year I receive at least 15 invitations to appear as a guest but I refuse them all. Until last year, after the hitCome listen to mother's lullaby, I continued to be invited by many brands to advertise, be a representative face, be a movie star, be a contest judge... My manager thought I should do something, because at the age of 79 I still had such a hit song, this was an opportunity for me to open my heart and reach out to more audiences. So the manager and the film director convinced me to participate. The squad is fine..

Initially, the script was sent to the manager inviting me to sing Kieu Nguyet Nga, which was impossible. Currently, a theater unit invited me to sing this role with a salary of 200 million for a performance, but I refused. Because I thought I was too old to play this character, I would become "grandmother" Kieu Nguyet Nga to be more exact. It was also thanks to the manager's encouragement, because at the age of 79, although I have participated in cinema, I still think of myself as a Cai Luong lover, a person of the theater. I rarely accept new fields because I think I will not do as well as my expertise.

Fortunately the projectThe squad is fine.related to cải lương and the distributor also loves it, so my team can participate in discussing the script to make it reasonable. Many people say I accepted the role because of the character.Ms. Luu's lifeBut actually I want to absorb the young energies of you guys like Vo Tan Phat, Nguyen Thao, Ngoc Phuoc...

* How did you feel when you saw your work on screen?

- I feel very happy and my trust in young people is very right, because you are very smart. Although I don't appear much, those are appropriate scenes, in a natural way. I think a work of art is successful when the audience feels relieved. This way is suitable for generation 4.0, if they like it, they join and leave, no need to explain too much. That is modernity, if you are not at that age, with that intelligence, you will not make the plot of the film and will be embarrassed. Works of art are very funny, it is not necessary to be the main character for people to pay attention. Sometimes when the audience watches, they do not remember the main character, but remember the character who only appears for 1 minute, that is the artistic value.

People's Artist Bach Tuyet performs the playMs. Luu's lifewith actor Vo Tan Phat.

* People's Artist Bach TuyetAre you satisfied with your performance on screen?

- If talking about satisfaction, I have never been satisfied with anything in my life. When a play or product is released and the audience responds, I do new projects instead of waiting for them to praise me. In my work, what makes me happiest is to do and create. Once it is released, that product belongs to everyone and it has its own destiny. Sometimes they praise it a lot, sometimes I sweat and cry but people criticize me and there is nothing left to say. For me, in my singing life, creativity is the highest thing for an artist. Like a painter, when the painting is displayed, he is no longer there. Instead of sitting there listening to compliments and criticisms and then losing confidence, I have to start looking for new creative things.

* Does working with other young actors make it difficult for you to integrate with everyone?

- For a long time, I have mainly worked with young people. At this age, I am still respected, invited, and "allowed" to play with young people. I am very happy when I enter creative work. When it comes to art, I always feel like a guest, not a host. I am very grateful to them. Although they look young, they have "giant" minds because they have so much information. So when working with them, the temperament of an older person and a younger person is not a problem. Their youthful energy always spreads, creating a wonderful connection, we help each other. Almost all of them are extremely intelligent, the time of cooperation is very happy.

People's Artist Bach Tuyet affirmed that despite working in the profession for more than 60 years, she has never seen herself as a great artist.

* As a great artist, was it difficult to invite People's Artist Bach Tuyet to act in a movie?

- I have never seen myself as a great artist. I see myself as a person with some knowledge, I don't know what my parents were like, but the audience feels sympathy for me. I don't think that I have been in the profession for a long time and then see myself as a big tree, big or small. Actually, whether a person is big or small depends on how they act, and whether an artist is big or small depends on their fate and whether they are lucky enough to be part of a valuable work or not.

Because of this concept, I am not hindered and do not dare to look down on anyone. Because I have witnessed life's lessons, I do not see high or low, rich or poor, smart or stupid. I only know that if you live in this life with a heart and gratitude, you will respect everyone equally, without discrimination. Ba Nam Chau has also said this, a true artist is someone who is good, praised by others, but does not see himself as good enough to be arrogant, I have learned from the past.

People kill each other because of advantages and disadvantages.

* As a doctor of reformed opera, how does People's Artist Bach Tuyet feel when Vietnamese films exploit and bring reformed opera into cinema?

- In the river, almost no creature wants to stay in one place. I think that if the artist understands more information about life and gratitude, they will control so that their works are born without "polluting" the world, that is the quality of an artist.

* Is it because it is currently difficult for reformed opera to reach young audiences that it has to be integrated into other art forms?

- It's not like that, if you study songs of many generations in the world, you will see that art is very strange. Sometimes, nothing but humming a few melodies creates a piece of music. Once I sat and talked with musician Trinh Cong Son, I asked why Son is so good, writing poetry, writing music... almost everything Son does makes people expect. Son said that why can't we just write, sometimes we sing in our head without having time to write it down. All that innocence will be art.

And if you say that because people like that genre, they have to mix cải lương in for them to listen to, sorry but why does it sound so mundane? It is not art. Art needs talent and innocence, but most importantly, your honesty. So the songs and plays that I perform, that are impressive to the audience, besides the author, besides the talent, all have the luck of meeting at a random moment and the wonderful thing is born.

According to People's Artist Bach Tuyet, art is the convergence of many factors, including talent and honesty.

* There have been many movies about reformed opera, but most of them did not create much buzz. What does People's Artist Bach Tuyet think?

- Everything depends on luck. There are cakes that sell very well, but there are also cakes that are painstakingly made but everyone who eats them complains. That is fate. Otherwise, our ancestors would not have the saying "man proposes, God disposes". Exceptions have existed for hundreds or thousands of years, which means that they have happened in the laws of the universe.

I don’t have time to think about that. I just like when I create and perform a song to my satisfaction. When the song is released, the song itself and the audience are the main factors. When people praise it, don’t say it’s thanks to you. When people criticize it, don’t deny it and blame others. That’s not the right thing for an artist.

What I care about is that your parents gave birth to you and raised you with honest money. Paying back is not just about you working to support them, but more importantly, what you do to make sure people don’t look down on your parents. For me, that is professional ethics.

People's Artist Bach Tuyet believes that the success of a work depends on luck.

*The squad is fine.received many mixed opinions, the film crew also said that they encountered a situation of being played dirty, seedingdirty, what do you think about this problem?

- As I said, when I finish a work, I no longer care much about it. Each work has its own destiny. Many people criticize it does not mean it is bad, many people praise it does not necessarily mean it is excellent. When society is like that, there is nothing surprising. We can see that Van Gogh, he died before becoming famous. Other good writers like Ernest Hemingway (authorThe Old Man and the Sea), the work was born and became a legend, and the author committed suicide.

Do you think about those things? Nothing comes out of this well and easily. It is success, blood and tears. If you are lucky, it is tears, if you are unlucky, it is blood. Even if I pass away, decades later, people suddenly want to buy my work for millions of dollars. So the value of praise and criticism, at the time the work is born, has no value, everyone does what they like, that is fairness. Because saying I like it means there is something I like, but if you don't like it, you criticize it.

As for seeding, it is the technology of the times, of the crowd. They do something for their own benefit, people kill each other because of advantages and disadvantages, it is one of the streams of human life, so what is surprising, I am not the first nor the last.

* Thank you People's Artist Bach Tuyet for sharing!
