Building smart, green Do Luong urban area to respond to climate change

On the side of Do Luong district, there were comrades: Bui Duy Dong - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of Do Luong District Party Committee; Nguyen Tat Hoai Hiep - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Hoang Van Hiep - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee; along with comrades in the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Standing Committee of the People's Council, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee; departments, branches and sectors at the district level.

Attending the event were leaders of corporations, general companies, business associations, investors, foreign and domestic enterprises, in the province and Do Luong district.

With the determination to successfully implement the Resolution of the 21st Congress of the Party Committee of Do Luong district, term 2020-2025; striving to bring Do Luong district to the finish line of a new rural district in 2023, Do Luong urban area to meet the criteria of a type IV urban area before 2025; building Do Luong district into a town in the direction of trade and services before 2030, in the past time, the People's Committee of Do Luong district has organized the establishment of construction plans and has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee, such as: Construction planning of Do Luong district, Nghe An province for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050; General planning for construction of Do Luong urban area.

At the conference, the consulting unit introduced the construction planning of Do Luong district, period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050.

Accordingly, the objectives are: To concretize the Resolution of the 19th Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; Resolution of the 21st Congress of the Do Luong District Party Committee; Focus on protecting the environment, preserving cultural heritage, history, natural landscapes and developing local cultural identity; Create a legal basis for integration into the planning of Nghe An province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 and deploy and manage urban planning, construction planning, new rural areas, as a premise to attract investment for development in the district; Serve as a basis for building criteria for the district to meet new rural standards in 2023, building a rich and civilized Do Luong district.

Regarding the master plan for Do Luong urban construction (scale 1/10,000), the goal is: To specify the orientation of the overall planning of the national urban system; to be consistent with the objectives of the strategy and master plan for socio-economic development, national defense and security of Nghe An province and Do Luong district; to ensure consistency with the planning scheme of Nghe An province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, which is being developed; to build and develop Do Luong urban area in the direction of trade and services; to become a type IV urban area, as a premise for Do Luong district to become a type III urban town.

On that basis, continue to complete the synchronous and modern technical infrastructure, meeting the requirements of sustainable development, in accordance with the criteria in the orientation of developing smart cities, green cities, and cities responding to climate change; Serve as a basis for implementing urban classification projects; manage construction planning; establish all types of zoning and detailed planning projects; establish construction investment projects; attract investment according to the planning.

At the conference, representatives of a number of corporations, general companies, investors, and enterprises contributed many important ideas for Do Luong to effectively implement the Do Luong Urban Construction Master Plan; Do Luong District Construction Master Plan, period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050 and attract investment.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Bui Duy Dong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Do Luong District Party Committee expressed his determination to well implement the approved plans and will focus on widely disseminating the core contents of the plans to all levels, sectors, business communities, and people of all walks of life, in order to create unity in awareness and high determination, drastic and effective action in the planning. This is a great driving force for the entire political system and people of the district, to determine the vision and development goals of sectors, regions and localities.

After the planning was approved, Do Luong district immediately implemented key projects, especially the connecting transport infrastructure system, such as building belt routes to welcome investment sources. With a systematic planning and synchronous infrastructure investment, Do Luong district has enough space to be ready to welcome large investors and commits to accompany and create the most favorable conditions for investors.

The Secretary of the Do Luong District Party Committee emphasized: To further promote the effectiveness of approved plans, the public announcement of approved plans and the introduction of an overview of the plans, and the implementation of investment promotion are extremely important. Creating momentum for socio-economic development, rapid and sustainable development, in line with the role and position of the district as the socio-economic center of Western Nghe An.
