Hung Yen Nam Commune (Hung Nguyen) received the Certificate of Recognition of the Commune meeting new rural standards.

Hung Yen Nam is a semi-mountainous commune, facing many difficulties, with poor infrastructure in terms of transportation, schools, medical stations, and cultural facilities.

With the determination, drasticness, and innovation of the Party Committee, government, and people, and with the support of all levels and sectors, Hung Yen Nam commune has created a "miracle" in building new rural areas.

In the past 6 years, the commune has mobilized more than 109 billion VND to build transport infrastructure, electricity, canals, schools, commune health stations, and cultural houses, of which the people contributed more than 23 billion VND, accounting for 21.22%.

Along with improving infrastructure, the Party Committee and government also focus on propaganda and mobilization to raise people's awareness in environmental protection and building a green - clean - beautiful rural landscape.

In particular, the people's thinking on production and economic development has changed a lot by actively changing the crop structure, forming a number of specialized areas: ornamental peach, custard apple, apple, and four-season lemon trees; at the same time, growing Xa Doai oranges, pear guava, Thai jackfruit, raising chickens on the hills...

The locality also converted some highland rice fields to grow high-quality sweet potatoes; lemongrass; Solanum procumbens... Some low-lying areas converted to the model of raising apple snails, soft-shell turtles, frogs... The labor export movement was promoted with about 750 participants.

Thanks to that, the spiritual and material life of the people has been improved. The average income per capita has increased from over 21 million VND (in 2017) to over 43 million VND (in 2022). The poverty rate has decreased from over 15% (in 2015) to below 2%.

The determination and efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of Hung Yen Nam have helped the locality complete 19/19 new rural criteria and was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 686, dated March 15, 2023, as meeting new rural standards in 2022 according to the National Criteria for New Rural Communes.

The results of new rural construction in Hung Yen Nam commune are an important foundation and motivation with many lessons learned for the locality to continue setting goals and determination to build advanced new rural areas in the coming time, for the happy life of the people.

In addition to receiving the Certificate of recognition of the Commune meeting new rural standards; on this occasion, the locality also received the Certificate of National Standards Level 1 for primary schools and communes meeting the National Criteria on Health.
