Nghe An: Ensuring communication to serve natural disaster prevention and control

The purpose is to implement the directives of the Provincial People's Committee and the Steering Committee.disaster prevention, search and rescueand civil defense (PCTT-TKCN and PTDS) of the province on ensuring communication work in PCTT-TKCN and PTDS of the province; inspecting the self-inspection of natural disaster prevention and control of postal and telecommunications enterprises; preparation work for natural disaster prevention and control of postal and telecommunications enterprises before this year's storm season.

Instruct and direct the overcoming of existing problems that may cause loss of communication and network safety in case of natural disasters for postal and telecommunications enterprises. Strengthen coordination between local authorities and enterprises in ensuring communication and safety of postal and telecommunications infrastructure in PCTT&TKCN; guide localities in organizing to ensure communication services.

The plan requires increased inspection of key areas such as areas prone to landslides and floods in mountainous areas, coastal districts, and Vinh city. The inspection must be completed before the 2023 storm season (before June 30, 2023).

The subjects of the inspection are Nghe An Provincial Post Office and district Post Offices and Post Offices in the area; VNPT Nghe An and District Telecommunication Centers; Viettel Nghe An - Viettel Military Industry and Telecommunications Group and Viettel District Telecommunication Centers; MobiFone Nghe An Technical Station; stations and stations in the districts.

The delegation will inspect the network situation in the area; the situation of strengthening the network, technical infrastructure; equipment, spare materials, means and plans for moving people and assets to respond to natural disasters; plans to respond to major storms, super storms, other emergency situations, recommendations and proposals; conduct on-site inspections in the areas (important areas for communications, work to ensure safety of stations, antenna towers, transmission systems, grounding measurements)...

According to the forecast of the North Central Hydrometeorological Center, the 2023 storm season will have many complicated developments. With the proactiveness and readiness to deploy response plans and overcome communication incidents of the Department of Information and Communications and its affiliated units, it will contribute to the authorities at all levels and sectors in the province to effectively carry out PCTT&TKCN work, minimizing damage to people and property.
