Tung Duong said his acting career is like "crossing a boat". He used to study painting but because he listened to his friends, he re-entered the theater school. "Acting gives me a lot of experiences. I get to live with many destinies, transform into many different types of jobs. That's an interesting thing that not every job has," he said.

When he first started his career, the male guest was assigned to positive roles but did not leave an impression. Tung Duong himself also felt that he was not suitable for this type of character. Instead, many directors considered him suitable for scheming and cunning roles. Regarding the audience's reaction, Tung Duong confided: "Many people said that just by watching the movie, they knew I was playing a bad role, no need to guess. Even if I am a good person now, I will become bad later."

The actor born in 1969 has no intention of returning to positive roles. He said that after many years in the profession, he loves the characters because of their multidimensionality. Despite having a huge filmography, Tung Duong is not proud of any role. He said that every time he watches them again, he feels that he has not done a good job. "After each role, if I have the opportunity to act again, I will do better," he confided.

During filming, he was slapped in the face by an old woman, which surprised him. Only then did Tung Duong know that this was a heroic Vietnamese mother whose 7 children died in the war. "The crew explained that this was just filming. She said that she knew it was acting, but I hated it because I looked at her. That was a memorable memory for me," said the actor born in 1969.

In daily life, Tung Duong admits that his personality is inconsistent, sometimes quiet but sometimes very talkative. "I am a straightforward person, a bit emotional and a bit humorous," the actor commented about himself. Admitting that he does not have much experience, Tung Duong is not afraid to observe and learn so that he can put it into the film. "In real life, I am very shy, unlike the gangster role in the film. I have to research to practice and do well," he said.

Currently, Tung Duong has retired and is not pursuing an acting career. Explaining this, he said he had health problems and was advised by his doctor not to pursue the profession. Although he accepted his fate, the male guest still regrets not having the chance to try his hand at a role with multiple personalities.

Regarding his current life, Tung Duong is still working hard on his art as a screenwriter. "When I had to stop acting to get treatment, it was also an opportunity for me to have time to write scripts. I find this an interesting job," he said.
