Gasoline price today April 19: Continue to decrease by more than 1 USD/barrel

Today's oil price, April 19, the world market recorded a decrease for the second session, down more than 1 USD per barrel of oil.

Oil prices on the morning of April 19 (Vietnam time) specifically: US WTI crude oil price decreased by 1.28 USD, down to 80.59 USD/barrel, Brent oil price decreased by 1.58 USD, down to 84.37 USD/barrel.

Oil fell for a second straight day as upbeat Chinese economic data failed to ease market concerns about a possible US Federal Reserve interest rate hike and an uncertain global economic outlook.

Domestic retail gasoline prices on the morning of April 19 were applied according to the adjustment session on April 11 by the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade:

Specifically, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by VND1,072/liter, to VND23,173/liter; RON 95 gasoline increased by VND1,120/liter, to VND24,245/liter.

Similarly, diesel price increased by 719 VND/liter to 20,149 VND/liter; kerosene price increased by 702 VND/liter to 17,739 VND/liter; mazut price increased by 765 VND/kg to 15,194 VND/liter.

In this management period, the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade decided to allocate 150 VND/liter for E5 RON 92 gasoline, 300 VND/liter for RON 95 gasoline, diesel oil and kerosene. The management agency decided to allocate only 300 VND/kg from the stabilization fund for fuel oil.

Domestic coffee price highest at 50,800 VND/kg

Coffee prices today (April 19) in the domestic market increased by 400 VND/kg, currently fluctuating from 50,300 - 50,800 VND/kg.

Specifically, the price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province is currently purchased at 50,200 - 50,300 VND/kg in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha.

Coffee prices in Gia Lai, Kon Tum and Dak Nong provinces stood at 50,700 VND/kg.

Today's coffee price in Dak Lak province increased by 400 VND/kg, in Cu M'gar district, the coffee price is currently at 50,700 VND/kg. In Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, the price is the same at 50,800 VND/kg.

Coffee on both exchanges is forecast to continue climbing to new price levels.

For world coffee prices, coffee prices on both exchanges have the same upward trend.

At the end of the latest trading session, Robusta coffee prices on the London floor continued to increase. The May spot futures increased by 2 USD, to 2,442 USD/ton, and the July futures increased by 9 USD, to 2,379 USD/ton, both very significant increases. Trading volume remained above average.

Similarly, Arabica coffee prices on the New York floor also increased. The May spot price increased by 4.25 cents to 205.25 cents/lb and the July futures increased by 4 cents to 203.05 cents/lb, both very strong increases. Trading volume remained very high above average.

Regarding the domestic coffee market, the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) cited statistics from the General Department of Customs, saying that in March 2023, Vietnam's coffee exports reached 210.37 thousand tons, worth 482.43 million USD, up 5.2% in volume and 10.9% in value compared to February 2023; compared to March 2022, it decreased by 0.3% in volume but increased by 1.7% in value. In the first quarter of 2023, Vietnam's coffee exports reached 552.61 thousand tons, worth approximately 1.23 billion USD, down 5.0% in volume and down 5.4% in value compared to the same period in 2022.

Rice price today April 19: Increase 50 VND/kg for rice

Regarding rice, the price of raw rice and finished rice products continued to increase. Accordingly, the price of raw rice increased by VND50/kg to VND9,550/kg. Similarly, the price of finished rice also increased by VND50/kg to VND10,650 - 10,750/kg.

For by-products, the price of IR 504 sheet fluctuates around 9,200 VND/kg; dry bran is at 7,450 VND/kg.

At the retail market, rice prices remained stable after the adjustment session. Accordingly, regular rice is 11,000 - 12,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice is 14,000 - 15,000 VND/kg; Soc regular rice is 15,000 VND/kg; glutinous rice is 16,000 - 18,000 VND/kg; Nang Nhen rice is 22,000 VND/kg; Common white rice is 14,500 VND/kg; Nang Hoa is 18,500 VND/kg; Soc Thai is 18,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is 20,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice is 22,000 VND/kg; Bran is 7,500 - 8,000 VND/kg; Long grain Thai fragrant rice remains at 18,000 - 19,000 VND/kg and Jasmine rice at 19,000 VND/kg.

According to businesses, today the amount of rice imported is low, the price of all kinds of rice has increased sharply. The summer-autumn rice market is still quite active, rice prices remain high. Winter-spring rice continues to be stable, prices are high. Demand for dry rice is high, Japonica rice continues to be in high demand.

On the world market, the export price of Vietnamese rice today has stabilized and remained unchanged after an upward adjustment session. Accordingly, 5% broken rice is at 473 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 453 USD/ton.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Nam - Chairman of the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), Vietnam's rice export prospects are still "open" in the long term. With demanding markets such as Europe, Korea, Australia and some newly opened markets in the Middle East, there will continue to be opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to increase exports as consumers are very fond of high-quality Vietnamese rice.

It is forecasted that Vietnam's rice exports in 2023 will reach about 6.5 - 7 million tons, including about 3 million tons of high-quality rice. Vietnam's rice export prospects remain "open" in the long term with many potential markets.

Domestic construction steel prices recorded two consecutive decreases

Steel prices today (April 19) recorded a rebound in steel prices on the trading floor. VAS Group exported the first commercial steel batch to the US.

On April 17, a ship carrying VAS-branded steel from VAS Group left Nghi Son International Port, Thanh Hoa, and arrived at Houston Port (USA). Also in 2023, VAS Steel will continue to export a second commercial steel shipment to the port of Los Angeles, a logistics hub in the US.

According to VAS, the product mark was well received and highly appreciated by the US market with this commercial steel export shipment thanks to the quality of "green, clean steel", produced on the circular economic model, which the group has deployed since its early days of establishment.

Domestic steel prices have fallen sharply for two consecutive sessions since April 8.

Domestic steel prices fell sharply for the second session, reaching VND720,000/ton.

According to SteelOnline.vn, Hoa Phat steel brand adjusted the selling price of CB240 rolled steel by 460 VND, currently at 15,200 VND/kg; D10 CB300 ribbed steel decreased by 310 VND, priced at 15,580 VND/kg.

Meanwhile, Pomina reduced 640,000 VND/ton for CB240 to 16.93 million VND/ton and rebar reduced 720,000 VND/ton to 16.88 million VND/ton, equivalent to a decrease of 3.6-4% respectively.

Viet Y announced a smaller price reduction than the two brands above. Viet Y's CB240 is 15.3 million VND/ton, down 300,000 VND/ton, equivalent to 2%. D10 CB300 rebar is down 150,000 VND/ton to 15.4 million VND/ton.

Viet Duc reduced the price of rolled steel by VND250,000/ton and steel bars by VND200,000/ton. After adjustment, the above two types are VND15.15 million/ton and VND15.6 million/ton, respectively.

Viet Sing's coil steel after adjustment is 15.22 million VND/ton and 15.63 million VND/ton. The above two products decreased by 210,000 VND/ton and 250,000 VND/ton respectively.

Thus, domestic construction steel prices recorded two consecutive decreases after five increases. Compared to the beginning of the year, Hoa Phat's coil steel price is still VND180,000/ton higher, while this brand's bar steel is VND640,000/ton higher.
