Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung, representative of an electronics store in Vinh City, shared: "According to forecasts, this year, the duration and intensity of the heat in the Central region will be more severe than the same period last year, so since the beginning of the year, we have had to calculate the import of goods and the quantity of goods to meet market demand. Although the hot season has just begun, the consumption of refrigeration products has gradually increased. From mid-April until now, the store has sold an average of 7-10 air conditioners and fans of all kinds every day."

According to the survey, air conditioners from Panasonic, Toshiba, Samsung, LG, Daikin, Casper... are still dominant because they have been trusted by consumers for many years. In particular, the most popular are still the basic capacity machines from 9,000 BTU to 12,000 BTU with prices ranging from 6 to 10 million VND. This year, many air conditioner lines have been improved with new technologies such as air filtration and noise reduction. In particular, products with energy-saving inverter technology are the most popular choice to reduce costs during the hot season.

The highlight of the refrigeration market this year is the air conditioner fan lines that are chosen by many consumers. These products have many advantages such as lower cost than air conditioners, easy to move in the house, and superior cooling capacity. In addition, some air conditioner fans of the brands Kangaroo, Boss, Sanaky, Sunhouse also have an additional air filtration function to ensure the health of users.

Ms. Le Nhu Quynh, an employee at an electronics supermarket in Vinh City, said: "Air conditioner fans are the most inquired item compared to regular fans or air conditioners. The price for air conditioner fans currently ranges from 2 to 5 million VND depending on the capacity and manufacturer, suitable for many people's conditions."

In addition, other types of cooling fans such as pedestal fans, mist fans, and steam fans also have diverse designs and prices 30-50% lower than air conditioner fans.

According to shop owners, although the consumption of refrigeration products has improved in the beginning of the hot season. However, the best-selling items are mainly in the low-cost and mid-range segments, fluctuating around 5 million VND. High-end items priced from 10 million VND or more are very picky buyers.

According to the explanation of most customers, the reason is due to economic recession, business difficulties, so people's income has decreased. That is also why electronics supermarkets are now calculating and focusing on importing mid-range refrigeration products to better suit the needs of consumers.

In particular, for customers who do not have enough finance, the store is willing to support installment payments with 0% interest... It is expected that in the near future, when the hot season reaches its peak, the refrigeration market will "heat up" even more.
