National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue visits Cuba - Vietnam Special Friendship School
Within the framework of the official visit to Cuba, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and President of the National Assembly of the People's Power and the Council of State of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernández and a high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly visited the Cuba - Vietnam Special Friendship School.
Students of the Cuba - Vietnam Special Friendship School welcomed National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and President of the National Assembly, People's Government and Council of State of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernández and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly with songs and special performances.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue expressed his emotion when he, along with leaders of the Cuban National Assembly and the government of Santiago de Cuba province, visited the Cuba-Vietnam Special Friendship School, a second home for disabled children from five eastern provinces of Cuba. The visit was of special significance as it coincided with preparations for the school's 4th anniversary.

The National Assembly Chairman said that the construction of the Cuba - Vietnam Special Friendship School for disabled children is a vivid demonstration of the noble idea and heart of leader Fidel Castro towards disabled children.
The National Assembly Chairman respectfully thanked the local government for giving this very meaningful school the very special name of Cuba - Vietnam Special Friendship School: "During his lifetime, beloved President Ho Chi Minh also said: "Children are like buds on a branch", for children with disabilities, they must be given the utmost attention, love, cherish, nurture and care by the Party Committee and government from the central to local levels. We also know that models for schools for the disabled like this are still organized in many localities in Cuba and these models are also popular models in many localities in Vietnam today, demonstrating the very noble humanity and the good nature of our regime of "loving others as you love yourself" and "leaving no one behind".
The National Assembly Chairman expressed his impression that the school was invested in and equipped very synchronously with many functions to help disabled children reduce their inferiority complex and self-confidence, and confidently strive to succeed in life and in their studies.
The National Assembly Chairman shared that through the children's special performances, especially through their smiles and eyes, it was shown that the children had been nurtured, cared for and educated very thoughtfully and that the teachers here had carried out very noble missions, not only as teachers, but also as kind mothers and doctors who regularly nurtured and cared for the children.

On behalf of the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue wished teachers and all students to continue to study well, teach well and practice well to overcome all difficulties, become useful people for themselves, their families and become useful citizens for society.
On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue presented the school with 10 desktop computers, 5 tablets, 1 television for the common classroom and presented toys made by disabled Vietnamese children.
Also this afternoon, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, Chairman of the Cuban National Assembly and a high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly visited the Revolutionary Relic Site and Moncada Barracks.
70 years ago, on July 26, 1953, the Cuban people under the leadership of the young revolutionary Fidel Castro attacked the Moncada barracks - fortress, igniting the flame of national pride, opening the revolutionary struggle of the Cuban people to overthrow the colonial dictatorship. This was a historic event, leading to the success of the January 1, 1959 revolution, opening a new era for Cuba - the era of independence, freedom and socialism./.
