Russia prevents Kiev from rotating troops, Ukrainian general says defensive mistake in Bakhmut
Russia's Southern Military District spokesman Vadim Astafyev said the country's military had disrupted the rotation of Ukrainian troops in the Marinka area of Donetsk.
“In Marinka, the rotation of personnel of the Ukrainian armed forces was disrupted. Special forces of the Southern Task Force and artillery of the 1st Army eliminated several Ukrainian units with a total number of up to 30 people,” RIA Novosti quoted Mr. Astafyev as saying on April 26.
Astafyev added that in the direction of Avdiivka, artillery units of the 1st Army carried out an attack on a convoy of Ukrainian armed forces. “Russian BM-21 Grad missiles destroyed five Ukrainian armored vehicles and 25 soldiers,” Astafyev added.
In the Lisichansk (Luhansk) direction, the Southern Military District's aviation destroyed the stronghold of the 81st Mobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
