Nghe An: Consumer price index in April 2023 decreased by 0.27%

Total retail sales of goods and consumer services revenue in April 2023 is estimated at VND 8,871.7 billion, up 6.53% over the previous month and 9.67% over the same period last year. In the first 4 months of 2023, total retail sales of goods and consumer services are estimated at VND 36,590.1 billion, up 14.3% over the same period in 2022.

The consumer price index in April 2023 decreased by 0.27% compared to the previous month and increased by 2.19% compared to the same period last year. Of the 11 main groups of goods and services, 5 groups had price indexes that increased compared to the previous month: Other goods and services increased by 0.11%; Culture, entertainment and tourism increased by 0.48%; Transportation increased by 0.44%; Household equipment and utensils increased by 0.05%; Beverages and tobacco increased by 0.6%. There were 3 groups of goods that decreased in price compared to the previous month, including: Food and catering services decreased by 0.51%; Clothing, hats, footwear decreased by 0.19% and Housing, electricity, water and construction materials decreased by 1.08%. There were 3 groups that did not increase or decrease compared to the previous month, including: Medicines and medical services; Post and telecommunications; and Education.

On average, in the first 4 months of 2023, the consumer price index increased by 3.1% over the same period last year.

There are 9 groups of goods that increased, including: Beverages and tobacco increased by 6.45%; Other goods and services increased by 3.06%; Food and catering services increased by 4.79%; Housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials increased by 2.17%; Clothing, hats and footwear increased by 3.52%; Household equipment and utensils increased by 2.34%; Culture, entertainment and tourism increased by 1.93%; Education increased by 14.86%; Medicines and medical services increased by 0.18%.

There are 2 groups of goods that decreased compared to the same period: Post and telecommunications decreased by 0.03%; Transportation decreased by 2.84%.
