(Baonghean.vn) - Since the beginning of March, due to problems related to site clearance, the construction progress of some sections of the coastal road through Quynh Luu has been slowed down. Therefore, when there is a site or construction conditions are guaranteed, contractors take advantage of human resources and machinery to speed up the progress.

Below are some images that reporters captured at the construction site of the coastal road from Quynh Luu district to Dien Chau district in late April and early May:

The coastal road from Quynh Bang commune (Quynh Luu) to Dien Kim commune (Dien Chau) is only about 15 km long but is the route with the most problems. The construction process was interrupted due to some unexpected difficulties. These are problems related to households in Quynh Bang commune and the New Urban Area Project in Quynh Nghia commune (Quynh Luu). Currently, there is still 1 household in Quynh Bang commune that has not been cleared and handed over the site. However, the units have actively constructed the section from Quynh Bang and Quynh Minh communes to Quynh Nghia commune. Although the T1 to T4 pillars of Lach Quen bridge are still stuck and the construction site has not been handed over, to ensure progress, the units continue to construct from T5 to T9 pillars towards the southern bank of the Quen river. Photo: Nguyen Hai

The construction progress of the section from the south of Lach Quen bridge up about 2 km in Quynh Thuan commune is slower than expected because the construction unit has to handle the arising items such as weak roadbed; at the same time, move the 35KV power line through. Currently, the construction progress of the resettlement area in Quynh Thuan commune is also quite slow, so it is not possible to relocate people to hand over the site for the project. Almost along the Dien Chau sea dike, contractors must construct concrete culverts and embankments outside the coastal road adjacent to the sea to ensure the safety of the roadbed against the risk of storms, high tides or rising sea levels. Photo: Nguyen Hai

The coastal road project through Dien Hai - Dien Hung communes quickly handed over the site; after building a culvert to hold the foot and compact the roadbed, workers are constructing a solid concrete embankment to limit the risk of landslides from above. Photo: Nguyen Hai

The road connecting Dien Kim commune to Lach Van bridge, through Dien Ngoc commune and Dien Thanh commune is also about to complete the foundation. Vice Chairman of Dien Chau District People's Committee Le Manh Hien said: 96% of the land area through the district has been basically cleared, the construction is favorable, the progress is guaranteed. After completing the section from Dien Hung commune to Dien Kim commune, the contractors will continue to construct the remaining coastal road section, from Dien Thanh commune to Dien An commune, Cua Hien. A representative of a construction unit on the route said: During the construction of the coastal road through Quynh Thuan commune (Quynh Luu), weak soil and obstacles arose, so after implementing some items, the unit had to stop and wait for adjustments through a new handling plan. Temporarily, vehicles and machinery were transferred to the construction section through Dien Hung - Dien Hai commune to complete this section soon. Photo: Nguyen Hai

The system of roads, ditches and coastal embankments from Dien Hung commune to Dien Hai commune (Dien Chau) about 3 km has been basically completed; some sections connect to the sea dike road, people can travel. Mr. Vuong Dinh Nhuan - Director of the Investment Project Management Board, Department of Transport said: To ensure the progress of the Coastal Road Project, the Board is urging contractors to have solutions to speed up the construction progress. The April 30 and May 1 holidays this year are quite long, to ensure progress, some construction units ensure the regime for workers to work continuously, only arranging rest at the site on International Labor Day, May 1. The coastal road project from Nghi Son (Thanh Hoa) - Cua Lo (Nghe An) is nearly 70 km long, passing through Hoang Mai, Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc and Cua Lo towns, with a total investment of VND 4,651 billion.

According to the Contract, the coastal road will be constructed in 48 months, starting from February 2022 and ending in February 2026. The Department of Transport directs the construction to be completed in 30 months, to be completed in the second quarter of 2024. Of which, the route is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2024 (30 months) and the bridge is expected to be completed in February 2024 (24 months).

Construction progress of Lach Van bridge reached 82%, Nghi Quang bridge reached 81%, Cua Thoi bridge reached 78%, Nghi Tan bridge reached 64%, Kenh Nha Le bridge reached 62%, Hoang Mai bridge reached 56%, Lach Quen bridge reached 51%, Tan Long bridge reached 49%.
