(Baonghean.vn) - Units have coordinated to give 1,000 national flags, 20 life buoys to fishermen working in the seafood industry, and 30 gifts to policy families, Agent Orange victims... in Nghi Quang commune, Nghi Loc district.

On May 6, the Anti-Drug Crime Task Force No. 2 (Coast Guard Command) coordinated with Military Hospital 4; Provincial Military Command; Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Navy Company 128 and Nghi Loc district to organize the program "Coast Guard with ethnic and religious people" in Nghi Quang commune.

Speaking at the program, Lieutenant Colonel Phan Thanh Hai - Political Commissar of the Anti-Drug Crime Task Force No. 2, Coast Guard Command, said that the implementation of activities in Nghi Quang commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province aims to educate and raise awareness, responsibility and love for the sea and islands, and at the same time encourage fishermen to actively go offshore, increase exploitation of aquatic and seafood products; contribute to maintaining the sovereignty of the homeland's sea and islands, while building and developing the local socio-economy, ensuring security and politics of the area under the management of a strong unit; practically celebrate the 48th anniversary of the liberation of the South (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2023); 133rd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2023).

At the same time, the leaders of the Drug Crime Prevention Task Force No. 2 also informed the delegates, people, and parishioners of Nghi Quang commune about the functions and tasks of the task force as well as propagated the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard 2018; Law on Drug Prevention and Control; Law on Vietnam Fisheries, on the sovereignty and security of the sea and islands of the Fatherland; Law on Fisheries, prevention of illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing; Propaganda against illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing; Organized the distribution of 1,560 leaflets to propagate about the Vietnam Coast Guard force.
