Mr. Trinh Ut Muoi, a prosecutor in Bac Lieu province, was temporarily detained on charges of fraud and property appropriation.
On the afternoon of May 6, a source confirmed that the Investigation Police Agency of Bac Lieu Province Police had prosecuted and temporarily detained Mr. Trinh Ut Muoi (41 years old), a prosecutor (of the Office of the People's Procuracy of Bac Lieu Province) for 4 months to investigate the act of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".

The investigation agency searched Mr. Muoi's workplace and home in Vinh Loi district.
According to the investigation agency, Mr. Trinh UT Muoi was prosecuted and detained for his involvement in a fraud case that appropriated about 200 million VND from a resident in Bac Lieu City, which occurred in 2022.
