Excavator suddenly caught fire while cleaning the sidewalk in Thanh Chuong
(Baonghean.vn) - While cleaning the roadside, an excavator was burnt down. The fire just happened on Ho Chi Minh road, passing through Thanh Tung commune, Thanh Chuong district.
According to local residents, at around 8:15 a.m. on May 16, an excavator was clearing the sidewalk of Ho Chi Minh Road at Km 755 in Village 4, Thanh Tung Commune when it suddenly caught fire.

Although there was a fire extinguisher on site and a water pump for watering tea from a nearby household to help, the fire was so strong that it was difficult to put out.
As the flames rose, people had to back away from the excavator for fear of the machine exploding and causing injury.

Thanh Chuong District Police were present at the scene to regulate traffic and handle the incident. The initial cause of the fire was believed to be an electrical short circuit in the excavator.
