8-year-old girl breaks arm after sun protection shirt gets caught in car wheel
(Baonghean.vn) - At noon on May 17, Tan Ky District Medical Center received patient NTA, 8 years old, residing in Ky Son commune, Tan Ky district, with scratches and bleeding on both arms and legs, the left arm showing signs of being broken.
According to family members, after finishing school, NTA was being taken home by his parents on a motorbike when a long sun-protection jacket got caught in the wheel. The child was dragged along by the jacket and fell.
Immediately afterwards, the family took the child to the emergency room at Tan Ky District Medical Center. The patient was diagnosed with an open fracture of the lower third of the humerus.

In the afternoon of the same day, the unit performed surgery on the humerus and treated soft tissue damage.
The surgery was successful and the patient is being monitored in the Department of Surgery.
The weather is hot and the temperature is high. People have to use many measures to avoid the sun, including sun-protective jackets. However, the characteristics of these jackets are often very long and quite cumbersome, if not careful, unexpected accidents can occur like the case of the child above.
