Mr. Prigozhin's statement appeared in a video shared on social media. The Russian Defense Ministry has not yet made an official comment on this information.
On the Ukrainian side, the spokesman for the Eastern Command, Serhiy Cherevatyi, denied the statement of the leader Wagner. "Our units are still present in Bakhmut," Mr. Cherevatyi said.
