Ho Chi Minh City delegation visited and presented gifts to policy families in Vinh city

As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 133rd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2023) in Nghe An province, on May 26, the Party Committee of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City visited a number of historical and cultural relics in Nghe An province and visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to a number of policy families in Vinh city.

The delegation was led by comrade Nguyen Van Dung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council.

Joining the delegation, on the side of Nghe An province, there was comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Standing members of the People's Council and the Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh city.

In the morning, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation came to offer flowers in memory of President Ho Chi Minh in front of his statue at the Square named after him in Vinh city.

The Party Committee of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City vows to continue promoting solidarity, efforts, and striving to better meet the aspirations and wishes of voters and people; contributing to making the city named after Uncle Ho increasingly prosperous and strong.

The delegation also visited Truong Bon National Historical Site (My Son Commune, Do Luong District) to offer flowers and commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives at Truong Bon "fire coordinates" during the period 1964-1968, when the US Air Force bombed the North of our country.

In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited and presented gifts to war invalid Nguyen Manh Hung (Tan Nam block, Hung Dung ward). On behalf of the delegation, comrade Nguyen Van Dung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council shared the difficult circumstances of the war invalid. This year, war invalid Nguyen Manh Hung is nearly 70 years old, in poor health, living alone, without a pension, living expenses depend on monthly allowances and war invalid allowances.

Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council also encouraged war invalid Nguyen Manh Hung to overcome his circumstances, be optimistic, live happily and witness the development of his homeland and country.

Comrade Nguyen Van Dung and the delegation also visited and presented gifts to war invalid Nguyen Khac Kech, 77 years old, in block 10, Ben Thuy ward, and war invalid Tran Duc Thao, in block 9, Truong Thi ward.

On this occasion, comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Nghe An province also encouraged and presented gifts to war invalid Tran Duc Thao in block 9, Truong Thi ward. The family is currently in a particularly difficult situation, as Mr. Thao has to use a wheelchair, his wife suffered a work accident and is paralyzed on one side, and is being treated at Viet Duc Hospital, Hanoi.

In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation divided into 3 groups to visit and give gifts to 9 policy families in many wards and communes in Vinh city.
