(Baonghean.vn) - Voters in Na Noong, Pong, Cong villages, Chau Hong commune, Quy Hop district reported that the protective forest land leased by the Pu Huong Nature Reserve Management Board to some households for planting acacia in the Nam Lat area, Ban Hy, sub-region 283, was not in accordance with regulations.

Propose that the Provincial People's Committee direct the Pu Huong Nature Reserve Management Board to promptly hand over land for people to produce, develop the economy, and reduce poverty.

The Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 4042/QD-UBND dated November 12, 2020 on merging the Quy Hop Protection Forest Management Board into the Pu Huong Nature Reserve Management Board; accordingly, the entire area previously managed by the Quy Hop Protection Forest Management Board will be transferred to the Pu Huong Nature Reserve Management Board for management.

The total forest land area in Chau Hong commune managed by the unit is 867.1 ha, of which the protective forest land area is 802.9 ha, the production forest land is 64.2 ha. The land area in Nam Lat, Ban Hy area of ​​sub-area 283 is currently at plot 5, the unit is implementing a production forest planting project with an area of ​​40 ha.

Based on the approved technical design documents, the Quy Hop Protective Forest Management Board assigned 08 forest protection officers under category 2B (self-funded, not receiving salary from the state budget) and 01 household in Chau Hong commune to contract forest planting. This area is currently a well-managed and protected Acacia plantation.

At plot 4, sub-area 283, planned as production forest land, in 2009, Quy Hop Protective Forest Management Board implemented production forest planting with an area of ​​20 hectares, assigned to 06 households, including 01 household in Chau Hong commune to plant Acacia forest. After 04 years, 01 household planted Acacia forest (Mr. Nguyen Van Xuyen's household), the remaining 05 households did not plant a forest.

To effectively carry out the work of reforesting bare land and ensuring the goal of afforestation, in 2015, the unit assigned this land area to Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong's family, residing in Ban Hy, Chau Hong commune, with an area of ​​12 hectares for the purpose of planting Acacia forests, which was effective and ensured the goal of afforestation./.
