39 suspects arrested in the attack on the commune police headquarters in Dak Lak

Authorities are continuing to hunt down the remaining suspects. At the same time, they are calling on criminals to turn themselves in to receive leniency.

On the morning of June 13, Lieutenant General To An Xo, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security, said that the functional forces of the Ministry of Public Security and Dak Lak Provincial Police arrested 10 more subjects in the attack, causing insecurity and disorder at the People's Committees of two communes, Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province.

"During last night, the forces fiercely pursued the group of subjects and arrested 10 more subjects. Thus, as of 9:00 a.m. this morning (June 13), the Public Security force had arrested a total of 37 subjects. Also on the night of June 12, 2 subjects surrendered" - Lieutenant General To An Xo informed.

According to the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security, the authorities are continuing to hunt down the remaining suspects. At the same time, Dak Lak Provincial Police called on the criminals to surrender soon to receive leniency...

On June 12, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed Decision No. 684/QD/TTg to award the "Fatherland's Gratitude" Certificate to four martyrs of the Ministry of Public Security and two martyrs of Dak Lak province, who were officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives on June 11, 2023, in the incident in which gunmen attacked the headquarters of the People's Committees of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes in Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province.

Previously, on June 12, the Central Working Group led by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang visited and encouraged the families of the victims. At the places visited, the Deputy Prime Minister visited and encouraged the victims and their families, and requested the authorities of Dak Lak province to pay attention to and support the spiritual life of the victims' families.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang visited and encouraged two commune police officers and soldiers who were injured while on duty and are currently being treated at the Central Highlands General Hospital.

On the same day, June 12, a working delegation of the Ministry of Public Security led by Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, visited and expressed condolences to the families of four officers and soldiers of the Commune Police who died while on duty. General To Lam, member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security, sent wreaths and expressed deep condolences to the relatives of the fallen Commune Police.

The Minister of Public Security posthumously promoted the ranks of the deceased communal police officers.

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang presented 100 million VND/family in support from the People's Public Security Comradeship Fund to the families of the four deceased comrades.

On the same day, a working delegation of Nghe An Provincial Police also visited and encouraged the families of the victims in the incident.

Previously, in the early morning of June 11, in Cu Kuin district, a group of people used guns to attack the headquarters of the People's Committee of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, killing and injuring a number of commune police officers, commune officials, and residents... After the incident, the Ministry of Public Security directed the Dak Lak Provincial Police and professional units to surround and arrest the above-mentioned group of subjects, and rescue a number of people who were taken hostage.

The Ministry of Public Security requests people in Cu Kuin district and neighboring areas to remain calm and not panic; and follow the requests of local authorities and functional forces. If anyone has information related to the above group of subjects, please provide it immediately to the nearest police station.
