Russian President Vladimir Putin met with war correspondents, answering questions about the situation of the special military operation in Ukraine.

Regarding the objectives of this military operation, President Putin once again emphasized that Russia's objectives have not changed since the beginning of the operation. According to Mr. Putin, the special military operation is Russia's response to the crossing of the "red line".

"Isn't the conduct of a special military operation itself a response to moves that cross the red line? This is the most important thing," President Putin told war correspondents.

President Putin affirmed that the key to solving the Ukraine problem lies with the West.

"If they really want to end this conflict with the help of negotiations, they just need to make one decision - to stop supplying weapons and equipment. That's it!" - said the Russian leader.

Regarding Ukraine's full-scale counterattack, President Putin said that it has been going on since June 4. Kiev is using its reserves and attacking from four directions. Putin said that Ukraine has not succeeded on any front and has suffered heavy losses. Accordingly, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost at least 160 tanks and 360 armored vehicles. At the same time, Russia has destroyed a large amount of Ukrainian equipment - 25-30% of the total volume of combat vehicles transferred to Kiev by the West. In fact, Ukraine's losses are much greater, due to the destruction by Russian long-range precision weapons.

Russian leader points out flaws in Western military equipment given to Kiev.

"Bradley and Leopard are burning 'very beautifully', just as we expected. I'm not sure if they saw it, but the bullets inside the tanks were scattered, in different directions" - President Putin shared.

Not only did Ukraine suffer losses in weapons, it also suffered losses in personnel. Compared to the enemy, the Russian loss rate was only 1/10.
