Closing Ceremony of the 25th Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth and Children Football Tournament
(Baonghean.vn) - After a week of exciting competition, on the afternoon of June 15, at Vinh Stadium, the Closing Ceremony of the 25th Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth - Children's Football Tournament, 2023 took place.
The closing ceremony was also attended by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tien - Former Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thu - Former Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports - co-founders, initiators and organizers of the first Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth and Children's Football Tournament in 1996; Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Lien - Former Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper.

Youth - Children Football Tournament - Nghe An Newspaper Cupis an annual tournament within the province's annual competition program organized by Nghe An Newspaper, Department of Culture and Sports, Department of Education and Training and Song Lam Nghe An Sports Joint Stock Company.

Attending this tournament were 354 young athletes - children from 28 football teams from districts, cities and towns. At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 354 student backpacks to the athletes participating in the tournament; awarded the title of Excellent Student, Excellent Football Player to 98 children; awarded 20 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND to children at SOS Children's Village Vinh, awarded 18 bicycles to players who are children of poor households, near-poor households, families with especially difficult circumstances...

This year’s tournament featured 53 matches, including 34 for children and 19 for youth. The tournament also attracted a large audience and leaders from districts, cities and towns with participating teams to come and cheer for the children.
The communication work about the tournament was carried out systematically, promptly and professionally on many platforms. Nghe An Newspaper broadcasted live 30 football matches in both age groups along with 60 video clips highlighting the matches, beautiful goals and nearly 200 news, articles, photo collections about the matches, as well as interesting stories on the sidelines of the field on Nghe An Newspaper's publications and digital platforms.

Besides the intense matches, the young players who attended the tournament also had a very meaningful summer with sideline experiences, such as interacting with famous Vietnamese coaches and football stars such as Le Cong Vinh, Nguyen Van Bach, Dang Van Lam...; participating in meaningful and useful sightseeing and experience activities at Nghe An Museum.
In the final match of the children's age group that took place this morning (June 15), Tan Ky Children's Team excellently defeated Quy Hop Children's Team with a score of 3-1 to win the Championship.
The final match of the youth age group between Vinh City Youth Team and Quynh Luu Youth Team took place at 4:30 p.m. on the same day and was extremely exciting. At the end of the match, Quynh Luu Youth Team players excellently defeated Vinh City Youth Team with a score of 3-2 to win the Championship.

At the closing ceremony, in the children's age group, in addition to awarding the championship title to Tan Ky players, the second prize to Quy Hop, and the two third prize teams Thanh Chuong and Vinh City. The Organizing Committee also awarded the Best Player award to Cao Huy Hoang - player wearing number 4 of Tan Ky; The best goalkeeper went to Thai Van Tuan Duy from Quy Hop Children's; There were 4 players who won the Golden Boot award with 6 goals: Dinh La Thang (Thanh Chuong), Lu Quoc Thinh (Tuong Duong), Vu Duc Anh (Yen Thanh), Tran Dang Dat (Tan Ky).

In the youth age group, in addition to the excellent Quynh Luu team winning the Championship, Vinh City won the Second Prize and Yen Thanh and Hoang Mai City shared the Third Prize. The Organizing Committee also awarded the Best Player Award to Nguyen Dinh Thuong of the Quynh Luu Youth Team; awarded the Best Goalkeeper Award to Ngo Xuan Phong (Vinh City). Notably, there were 5 players who became the Top Scorer with 5 goals: Nguyen Manh Phu (Vinh City), Nguyen Dinh Thuong (Quynh Luu), Nguyen Van Sang (Yen Thanh), Ho Dang Nhat (Yen Thanh), Vu Ngoc Chung (Hoang Mai City).
