Beware of tricks to sell acacia trees to appropriate property

In recent years, the acacia plantation industry in some localities in Nghe An province has developed strongly, acacia trees have been purchased by many traders in large quantities at high prices. Taking advantage of this fact, some subjects have informed traders about acacia forests for sale, then asked buyers to deposit a sum of money and then the subjects will appropriate this money. Nghia Dan district police have just successfully broken up a case, arresting a fraudster related to this behavior.

The subject was arrested by Nghia Dan District Police for fraud.appropriation of propertyis Le Thi Hoi (born in 1985), residing in Nghia Loi commune, Nghia Dan district. Accordingly, knowing that acacia trees were entering the harvest season and were sought by many traders, Le Thi Hoi informed traders that there was a forest of acacia trees for sale. If anyone wanted to buy, Hoi would take them to an area where acacia trees had been harvested and then claim it as her forest to gain the buyer's trust. After that, Hoi asked the buyer to transfer a deposit, then appropriated the deposit.

With the above tricks, the police initially determined that Le Thi Hoi had 4 times defrauded and appropriated the property of a trader purchasing acacia trees for a total of 217 million VND. The police also seized and temporarily detained 32 million VND in cash, 2 mobile phones, 3 ATM cards and many other exhibits related to the case.

Currently, the case is continuing to investigate and expand.
