Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong congratulated Nghe An Newspaper and the Provincial Journalists Association.

Also attending were comrades: Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office; and leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's departments and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province.

On the side of Nghe An Newspaper, there was comrade Ngo Duc Kien - Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief and comrades in the Editorial Board, key leaders of the editorial office. The Provincial Journalists Association had comrade Tran Minh Ngoc - Chairman of the Association, Director of Nghe An Radio and Television Station and comrades in the Executive Board of the Association.

Visiting and congratulating the leaders, cadres, reporters, and employees of Nghe An Newspaper and the Provincial Journalists Association, on behalf of the Party Committee, government, and political system at all levels, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of the press in Nghe An province in general and Nghe An Newspaper in particular in carrying out the tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and building the political system in the recent past.

In the coming time, the Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee hopes that the Provincial Journalists Association and Nghe An Newspaper will continue to implement the motto: "Sharp pen, bright mind, strong will", to better perform their functions and roles in Vietnam's revolutionary press.

In particular, members of the Provincial Journalists Association and Nghe An Newspaper continue to improve the qualifications, professional capacity, responsibility and skills of journalists; maintain the professional ethics of journalists, which are impartiality, objectivity, non-profit making, non-negativity; loyalty to the Party's ideals and cause; have a strong political stance, not wavering in ideals or in the face of temptations or pressure.

Acknowledging and appreciating the application of multimedia communication by Nghe An Newspaper in recent times to enhance the newspaper's activities, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong hopes that not only Nghe An Newspaper, but also press agencies and journalists in the province will continue to keep up with and promote the strengths of technology, as well as new journalism methods in today's era, thereby continuing to affirm the role and position of revolutionary journalism to best serve the cause of the Party, the regime and the people.

In particular, in the context of the strong development of science and technology today, as well as the diversity of information flows, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee hopes that Nghe An Newspaper will pay more attention to the international sector. It is not only purely reporting information data, but also needs to approach information flows from outside in a more proactive and complete way, to have conditions for screening, helping readers have an objective view, accurately identifying the nature of things and phenomena.

Comrade Nguyen Van Thong also suggested that the Provincial Journalists Association and Nghe An Newspaper continue to closely follow the Party's guidelines and policies; the State's policies and laws and the specific tasks of the locality at each stage and time to propagate, mobilize, and create social consensus in implementing the goals of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security; as well as fighting against evil and contributing to effectively protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people.

Regarding Nghe An Newspaper, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested continuing to pay attention to material care and conditions for performing professional tasks; as well as promptly motivating and encouraging the spirit of the staff and workers in the agency; building the newspaper to increasingly develop, increasingly effectively perform its functions and tasks, contributing to the development of the province.

Comrade Ngo Duc Kien - Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper; Comrade Tran Minh Ngoc - Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association thanked the provincial leaders for their attention, especially the comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and promised to continue to improve the quality of the press team to better perform their tasks, effectively contributing to the development of the province.
