Timely extinguishing of forest fire at night in Dien Phu commune (Dien Chau)
(Baonghean.vn) - As soon as they arrived at the scene, the authorities of Dien Phu commune (Dien Chau) quickly deployed a fire fighting plan to control the fire from developing and spreading to the surrounding area.
At around 9:00 p.m. on July 3, Mr. Nguyen The Quang - the owner of the pine forest protection contract in Hamlet 1, Dien Phu Commune, discovered a fire in the pine and acacia forest in Hamlet 1, Dien Phu Commune, bordering Nghi Yen Commune, Nghi Loc District.
Upon receiving the news, the local authorities coordinated with Dien Chau Forest Protection Department to mobilize the "4 on-site" force including households contracted to protect the forest and militia and self-defense forces, forest rangers using fire blowers and other tools to quickly arrive at the scene to put out the fire.
After more than an hour, the forces controlled and extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading to other forests. According to the report of Dien Phu Commune People's Committee, the small fire area was about 400-500m2.2, mainly understory vegetation of acacia and pine trees.
Currently, local authorities and relevant sectors are assessing the extent of damage and investigating the cause of the fire.
