Strengthening cooperation to ensure security and order between Nghe An Provincial Police and the Police of 3 neighboring Lao provinces
(Baonghean.vn) - From July 3-5, in Bolikhamxay province (Laos), the 2023 Security and Order Cooperation Conference took place between Nghe An Provincial Police and the police of Bolikhamxay, Xieng Khouang and Hua Phan provinces (Laos).
On the side of Nghe An Provincial Police, there were Major General Pham The Tung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police, Head of the delegation; Colonel Le Van Thai - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, Deputy Head of the delegation.
On the side of the Lao People's Democratic Republic's provincial police, there were comrades: Colonel Kong Chan Xay Pan Nha - Director, Head of the Bolikhamxay Provincial Police Delegation; Colonel Phet Noi Lo Lon Xi - Deputy Director, Head of the Hua Phan Provincial Police Delegation; Colonel Xeng A Lun Nan Tha Vong - Deputy Director, Head of the Xieng Khouang Provincial Police Delegation.
In recent times, despite the complicated developments in the world and the region, Nghe An Provincial Police and the Police of the three provinces of Bolikhamxay, Xieng Khouang and Hua Phan have made great efforts, continued to strengthen coordination, information exchange, ensured security and order, prevented and combated crimes, prevented epidemics, and joined hands to build a peaceful, stable, friendly and developed border. The cooperation between the parties has been going deep, practical and effective, contributing significantly to protecting security and order, ensuring security of the Vietnam - Laos border, consolidating the good traditional relationship between the two countries, as well as between the provincial police.
In particular, Nghe An Provincial Police has completed the construction and handed over 21 village police headquarters on the Vietnam - Laos border of all three provinces under the direction of the two Ministries (Vietnam Ministry of Public Security - Laos Ministry of Public Security) and the agreement signed between Nghe An Provincial Police and the Police of Bolikhamxay, Xieng Khouang and Hua Phan provinces.
At the conference, the parties agreed to continue to strengthen cooperation in ensuring security and order, fighting and preventing crime and building forces. In particular, doing a good job of coordinating in the work of grasping the situation, promptly exchanging information related to security and order between the parties. Strengthening the exchange of experiences and coordinating in controlling entry and exit, preventing illegal border crossings by bad elements and criminals who take advantage to sabotage security and order.
Continue to effectively implement plans and minutes of cooperation in crime prevention and control between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Lao Ministry of Public Security; step up propaganda, dissemination and legal education for their citizens; create favorable and safe conditions for citizens of the two countries to travel for business, visit relatives, receive medical treatment, study and exchange; effectively organize the implementation of the agreement on economic, cultural and scientific and technical cooperation between the Vietnamese and Lao governments.
In particular, strengthen the work of preventing drug-related crimes, especially coordinating and supporting Nghe An Provincial Police to effectively implement the Project "Border Communes Clean of Drugs" under the direction of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam.
In the spirit of special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, Major General Pham The Tung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department, Head of the delegation signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to ensure security and order in 2023 with the leaders of the Police of the three provinces of Bolikhamxay, Huaphan, and Xieng Khouang (Laos).
The police of the four provinces of the two countries also presented gifts to each other, affirming the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Nghe An Police and the police of the three neighboring provinces that is increasingly developing well.
