At 11:50 p.m. on July 6, after receiving a report that someone had jumped off Ben Thuy 1 bridge (connecting Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces), the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Nghe An Police mobilized forces and vehicles to quickly arrive at the scene to search for the victim.
The identity was determined to be NHL, born in 2003, hometown in Dai Son commune, Do Luong district.
On the morning of July 7, fishermen discovered L. lying at the water's edge in an exhausted state, so they rescued him and brought him to shore.
Initial information shows that after jumping into the river, L. tried to swim but then became exhausted and was thrown into the water. Luckily, he drifted to shore and was discovered and saved by local people.
