Singer Quang Dung was emotional when Miss Mai Phuong appeared in the MV 'Quy Nhon filled with memories'.

After finishing the recording, Quang Dung spent a lot of time thinking about creating a product to honor and promote the beauty of his homeland, different from previous songs praising regions and places.
"On the first day I met the director, I suggested not making a nostalgic, gloomy MV. From the music arrangement to the visuals, everything had to be youthful and close to the times," the singer said.
When looking for a co-star, Quang Dung wanted to find a girl who was 'purely Vietnamese, beautiful, modern, looked good in ao dai and evening gowns, and was known by young people'.
The first time he saw the photo, he didn't know Mai Phuong was a beauty queen, but he still exclaimed "So pretty", meeting all the criteria. He was worried that he wouldn't be able to invite her because of the busy schedule of Miss World Vietnam 2022 until he received enthusiastic support from the management company.
The two days of filming the MV in Quy Nhon were quite harsh. Both of them and the crew had to wake up at 2am to catch the sunrise at 4am. At noon, they filmed on the sandbanks in weather close to 40 degrees Celsius.
Quang Dung appreciated the beauty queen's presence. The singer asked his manager to closely monitor and ensure that Mai Phuong did not complain about anything regarding food, accommodation, travel, etc. He said: "I am 24 years older than Mai Phuong, but in art, there are only 'brothers and sisters', not 'uncles and nieces'. When the MV was released, many people said we were quite a good match."
Quang Dung revealed that when he was 18, he had a crush on a girl. At that time, the two of them loved each other innocently and naively. The singer often took her out, sometimes to the venues where he performed by bicycle. He became famous at the age of 16 thanks to participating in many singing competitions, so his dressing style was more stylish than most boys at that time.
"Quy Nhon was very small in the past, men were used to dressing casually while I was quite outstanding because I liked to dress up. Therefore, we were often complimented on how beautiful we were. After nearly 30 years, when filming the MV, I felt like I saw the image of my first love again when I saw Mai Phuong in a white ao dai walking on the stairs," Quang Dung said.
The singer shared that their first love only lasted about a year and a half. At that time, they were both immature and immature, while Quang Dung was passionate about music and determined to leave Quy Nhon for Ho Chi Minh City to start a career.
