(Baonghean.vn) - The report at the National Conference to review the inspection and supervision work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2023 showed that in the first 6 months of 2023, the Inspection Committees at all levels disciplined 92 party organizations and 2,894 party members, including 889 committee members at all levels.

On the morning of July 10, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Commission held a national online conference to review the inspection and supervision work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2023. Attending and directing the conference was comrade Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission.

Also attending were comrade Le Minh Khai - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; leaders of Central and local departments, ministries and branches.

Proactive, decisive

In the first 6 months of 2023, the Central Inspection Commission has proactively implemented and advised the Politburo and the Secretariat to continue reviewing, revising, supplementing, promulgating, leading and directing the effective implementation of many important documents on Party inspection, supervision and discipline work.

On that basis, the Inspection Committees at all levels proactively advise the Party Committees to concretize regulations, procedures, and instructions suitable to the realities of the localities and units. The Central Inspection Committee and the Inspection Committees of localities and units organize the comprehensive implementation of tasks according to the provisions of the Party Charter and the tasks assigned by the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Party Committees with a large volume of work, and the quality and efficiency are constantly improved.

The most prominent of these is the proactive and drastic inspection when there are signs of violations against Party organizations and Party members related to cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Negative Action, such as: inspection of Party organizations and Party members related to violations of AIC International Progress Joint Stock Company, Van Thinh Phat Group and FLC Group.

According to the report of the Central Inspection Commission, in the first 6 months of 2023, the Inspection Commissions at all levels inspected 914 Party organizations and 3,057 Party members when there were signs of violations. Of which, the Central Inspection Commission inspected and concluded that 16 Party organizations and 29 Party members had violations and shortcomings to the extent that disciplinary action was required.

Reporting on the implementation of Party organization and Party member discipline, the Central Inspection Commission said that in the first 6 months of 2023, Party committees at all levels and Party cells disciplined 182 Party organizations and 7,056 Party members. Specifically, 5,486 Party members were reprimanded; more than 1,057 Party members were warned; 152 Party members were dismissed from office and 361 Party members were expelled.

The Central Executive Committee alone has taken disciplinary action by expelling one official from the Party. The Secretariat has taken disciplinary action by warning two Party organizations and 17 Party members.

The preliminary report shows that the Inspection Committees at all levels have disciplined 92 Party organizations and 2,894 Party members, including 889 Party Committee members. Specifically, the Inspection Committees of localities and units have disciplined 80 Party organizations (57 reprimands, 23 warnings) and 2,869 Party members (1,168 reprimands, 551 warnings, 18 dismissals, 1,132 expulsions). The Central Inspection Committee has disciplined 12 Party organizations (including 4 reprimands, warnings) and 25 Party members (7 reprimands, 12 warnings, 6 expulsions).

Regarding supervision work, Party committees at all levels have supervised 12,437 Party organizations and more than 44,737 Party members, of which more than 14,215 Party members are Party committee members at all levels.

Discussing at the conference, delegates at the connecting points analyzed the limitations and shortcomings in performing tasks and proposed and recommended many solutions to continue performing tasks in the last months of 2023; promoting the emulation movement to achieve achievements to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Party Inspection sector's tradition (October 16, 1948 - October 16, 2023)...

In Nghe An, in the first 6 months of 2023, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee focused on rectifying and improving the effectiveness of inspection and supervision work. In particular, the Standing Committee directed the implementation of 11 inspections and 4 thematic supervisions (including 1 large-scale thematic supervision) at 18 local Party committees and units. The Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee conducted 27 inspections and supervisions to check and verify the declaration of assets and income of 28 officials under the management of the Provincial Party Committee in 5 districts and 3 provincial-level sectors.

To date, inspections of 4 Party organizations with signs of violations have been completed; of which, disciplinary action has been taken against 2 Party organizations and disciplinary action is being considered for 2 Party organizations.

The Provincial Party Standing Committee has considered and disciplined two party members by "expelling" them from the Party.

Focus on inspecting and supervising cadres and party members

Speaking at the conference, comrade Tran Cam Tu - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission highly appreciated the work results in the first 6 months of 2022 achieved by the Inspection Commissions at all levels.

Regarding the direction and tasks for the last 6 months of 2023, comrade Tran Cam Tu requested that, in addition to improving the quality of inspection staff at all levels, the Central Inspection Commission will focus on advising the Politburo and the Secretariat to effectively implement the 2023 Inspection Program.

Continue to advise on the development and submission to the Politburo and the Secretariat of important projects such as: Inspection procedures of the Politburo and the Secretariat; Procedures for reviewing and enforcing discipline on Party organizations and Party members of the Politburo and the Secretariat; Procedures for handling denunciations against Party organizations directly under the Central Committee and Party members who are cadres under the Central Committee's management; Regulations on protecting whistleblowers, fighting corruption and negativity; Mechanism for controlling assets and income of cadres under the management of the Politburo and the Secretariat.

Inspection Committees at all levels need to continue to seriously, promptly and effectively implement the direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Steering Committee on anti-corruption and negativity, Party committees at all levels, and the provincial Steering Committee on anti-corruption and negativity.

Focus on inspecting and monitoring cadres and party members who show signs of political, moral and lifestyle degradation, self-evolution, self-transformation, violations of what party members are not allowed to do, areas, locations and work positions where corruption and negativity are likely to occur, places with many prominent issues causing social outrage; when discovered, they must be strictly handled.

At the same time, strengthen the direction and guidance of the superior Inspection Committee to the Party committees, Party organizations, and subordinate Inspection Committees on inspection, supervision, and Party discipline work to create more positive and clear changes in the entire industry, overcoming cover-up, favoritism, and avoidance in localities, agencies, and units.

At the same time, the Central Inspection Committee and Inspection Committees at all levels proactively carry out planning, perfecting and improving the quality of inspection staff at all levels; continue to innovate the content, programs and forms of training and fostering inspection staff, etc.
