Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy visits the Vietnamese Embassy in the Lao PDR
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 13, during a visit and working session in the Lao PDR, in the capital Vientiane, Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation visited the Vietnamese Embassy.

The delegation included members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Le Duc Cuong - Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee; Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Head of the Provincial Party Propaganda Department; members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Dinh Hung - Chief of the Provincial Party Office; Pham Hong Quang - Director of the Department of Planning and Investment; Trinh Thanh Hai - Director of the Department of Finance; Colonel Nguyen Cong Luc - Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command. Also attending were comrade Tran Khanh Thuc - Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and representatives of the Department of Tourism.
Comrade Nguyen Ba Hung - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Lao PDR and the Embassy staff received the delegation.

On behalf of the working delegation, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy respectfully sent best wishes and sincere thanks to the Ambassador and the Embassy staff for taking the time to welcome and support the connection of the province's working program during this very meaningful working trip.
Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy informed Ambassador Nguyen Ba Hung about the working trip of the high-ranking delegation of Nghe An province to the Lao PDR; the situation of Nghe An province in 2022 and the first 6 months of 2023; especially the Politburo has just summarized 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 26 on Nghe An and agreed to issue a new Resolution on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
In particular, in foreign affairs, the Party Committee and government of Nghe An province continue to maintain and strengthen the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
In addition to traditional cooperation with the three provinces sharing the border, namely Hua Phan, Xieng Khouang, and Bolikhamxay, Nghe An province has expanded its cooperative relations with the provinces of Vientiane, Kham Muon, Savannakhet, and Xay Som Bun in many fields such as: trade, investment support, education - training, health, defense - security, etc. in a systematic manner, with its own capabilities, with the motto of helping you is helping itself.

During the visit, Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy asked Ambassador Nguyen Ba Hung to discuss with Lao localities, especially the capital Vientiane, in the coming time to promote coordination and cooperation with Nghe An province.
The head of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee also hopes that in his role, Ambassador Nguyen Ba Hung will pay attention to discussing the Lao Government's coordination with the Vietnamese Government in speeding up the Vientiane - Pak Xan (Bolikhamxay) - Thanh Thuy Border Gate (Nghe An) - Hanoi expressway project.
The head of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee also requested the Embassy and Ambassador to support and create favorable conditions for the business community and Nghe An citizens who are doing business, working, laboring and living in the Lao PDR.
Ambassador Nguyen Ba Hung was pleased to welcome the delegation to the Embassy; agreed with the suggestions of the Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, and continued to monitor and promote Nghe An's cooperation with Lao localities.
Ambassador Nguyen Ba Hung expressed his delight that Nghe An province will soon cooperate with Vientiane Capital, along with 7 other provinces of Laos that have signed cooperation programs; as well as promote the construction of the Hanoi - Vientiane expressway; and at the same time, requested the province to continue to pay attention to training and fostering for students, university students and officials of Laos.
