On the morning of July 14, the Government Inspectorate held an online conference to review the work of the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2023 of the Inspectorate. Comrade Doan Hong Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Government Inspector General chaired the conference.

Economic violations of 178,863 billion VND were discovered.
In the first 6 months of 2023, the Inspection sector has closely followed the policies of the Party and State, the directions of the Government, the Prime Minister, and the Heads of State management agencies to carry out tasks and achieved many results. The whole sector has carried out 4,224 administrative inspections and 94,797 specialized inspections and checks.
Through inspection, rectification of management, improvement of mechanisms and legal policies in many fields; economic violations of VND 178,863 billion (up 615% over the same period in 2022), 404 hectares of land (down 95.8%) were discovered; of which, it was recommended to recover VND 148,062 billion (up 1,343%) and 9 hectares of land (down 93.1%); settlement, exclusion from settlement value due to non-compliance with regulations and requesting competent authorities to consider handling VND 30,800 billion (up 108%), 395 hectares of land (down 95.8%); issuance of 60,319 decisions on administrative sanctions for organizations and individuals (up 5.5%), with an amount of VND 2,873 billion (down 32.3%); Recommend reviewing and administratively handling 784 collectives (down 53.4%) and 2,912 individuals (up 8.8%); transfer to the investigation agency to continue reviewing and handling 208 cases (up 27.6%) and 316 subjects (up 255%).
In the work of receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations, in the first 6 months of 2023, there were 187,306 people coming to State administrative agencies to make complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections (an increase of 17.9% compared to 2022), with a total number of people received being 204,674 people (an increase of 19.1%), 152,310 cases (an increase of 20.7%), and 1,807 large groups (an increase of 27.5%).
The Inspectorate continues to guide and urge sectors and levels to implement solutions to prevent corruption. The total number of corruption cases detected is 49 cases (up 63.3%), 72 people (up 80%); of which: Through internal inspection activities, 7 cases and 14 people were detected; through inspection and examination activities, 26 cases and 45 people were detected; through settlementresolve complaints and denunciationsdiscovered 13 cases, 13 people involved in corruption.

Effectively deploy solutions to prevent corruption
At the conference, representatives of leaders of provinces, cities, and local inspection sectors had many discussions, focusing on proposing solutions to effectively implement tasks in the last 6 months of the year, contributing to creating a stable environment for socio-economic development.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Doan Hong Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Government Inspector General stated: In the last 6 months of the year, it is necessary to continue to effectively implement the Resolution and Work Program of the Government, in accordance with the spirit of "Solidarity, discipline, proactive adaptation, safety and efficiency, recovery and development". In particular, continue to implement the 2023 inspection plan and assigned surprise inspections; speed up the progress of issuing inspection conclusions; effectively implement the resolutions and directions of the Government, the Prime Minister, and the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity related to inspection activities.

Complete Project 153 "Plan to remove difficulties and obstacles related to projects and land in inspection, examination and judgment conclusions in a number of provinces and cities" according to the Government's direction.
Continue to effectively implement the Law on Citizen Reception, the Law on Complaints, the Law on Denunciations, directives and resolutions of the Central Committee, the National Assembly, and directions of the Government and the Prime Minister.
Strengthen State management of corruption prevention and control, effectively deploy corruption prevention solutions; improve the effectiveness of detecting and handling corruption, focus on inspecting sensitive areas, areas with high risk of corruption or areas with many public opinions about corruption; conduct inspections of the responsibilities of heads of ministries, branches and localities in implementing laws on corruption prevention and control.
