Actively promote agricultural products on digital platforms and social networks
(Baonghean.vn) - Mobilizing farmers to promote the application of science and technology in production and business, strengthen linkages and cooperation in production; promote propaganda and advertising of agricultural products on digital platforms and social networks are identified as one of the key contents of the Farmers' Association's work in the last 6 months of the year.
On the afternoon of July 17, the Farmers' Association of Nghe An province held a conference to review the Association's work and the farmers' movement in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2023. The conference was chaired by comrade Nguyen Quang Tung - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Nghe An province. Attending the conference were representatives of provincial departments and branches.
The work of the Association and the farmers' movement in the whole province in the first 6 months of 2023 has had positive changes, achieving many outstanding results. Typically, in the "Good production and business" movement, the whole province has 252,000 member households registered for the title of Good Farmer and Business Household at all levels (achieving 103.22% of the assigned target); in which, a number of units have a number of households registered to achieve the title of Good Farmer and Business at high levels such as: Dien Chau, Thanh Chuong, Do Luong, Yen Thanh... In particular, 2 farmer members were awarded the title of "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer" by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union.
In addition, vocational training for rural workers and vocational guidance for farmers to learn the right profession to serve production and business development have been promoted; Capital support activities for farmers have been focused on and promoted by the Association at all levels. As of June 30, 2023, the Farmers' Support Fund in the whole province reached 93.4 billion VND; Outstanding loans received from banks reached nearly 5,600 billion VND.
In particular, the work of supporting members and farmers to access scientific and technological advances has been focused on by the Association at all levels. Accordingly, it has coordinated with all levels and sectors to organize 925 training courses on science and technology, information technology knowledge for over 45,000 farmer members to apply scientific and technological advances in production, business and promotion, introduction and consumption of products; guiding farmers to build agricultural production models applying new science and technology, creating products according to the value chain, solving employment for workers.
In the first 6 months of 2023, 89 models were supported by the Association at all levels to be newly built; of which the Provincial Farmers' Association directly deployed and directed the implementation of 22 models in agricultural production sectors; supported farmers in digital transformation in production and consumption of agricultural products, introduced and promoted products, and brought agricultural products to the Postmart e-commerce platform.
There are many good models and creative ways to support the livelihoods of poor farmer households to escape poverty sustainably organized by the association at all levels, such as: Supporting breeds, food, training in livestock farming techniques, fertilizers, the "Cow Bank" project, etc. to help poor households develop their economy. Particularly, the "Bricks of Love" campaign to support poor members to build and repair houses has been launched by the Farmers' Associations of districts, cities and towns and has been supported and registered by officials, farmer members, organizations and individuals for 3 years (2023 - 2025) with a total amount of over 4 billion VND.
In particular, in the first 6 months of 2023, the Farmers' Association Congresses at the grassroots and district levels for the 2023-2028 term were successfully organized. In general, the Associations at all levels have carefully prepared the contents of documents, propaganda work, logistics work, especially personnel work. The Farmers' Association Congresses at all levels from district to grassroots took place successfully and in accordance with regulations.
The key tasks for the last 6 months of the year are: Enhancing the role of the Association in creating an environment to help farmers strive to achieve the title of Good Production and Business at all levels; mobilizing farmers to promote the application of science and technology in production and business, strengthening links and cooperation in production; promoting propaganda and advertising of agricultural products on digital platforms and social networks.
Strengthening training coordination, improving knowledge of digital transformation, management knowledge, linkage and cooperation in agriculture for members; Promoting the development of Professional Farmers' Associations and Professional Farmers' Associations; Continuing to effectively implement the programs "Planting 1 million trees", "New rural standard gardens", "Farmer model gardens", Project "Farmers' Association participates in protecting the rural environment"; movement to produce organic microbial fertilizers from agricultural waste and by-products.
