(Baonghean.vn) - Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong kindly visited, expressed his emotion and deep gratitude for the contributions of wounded and sick soldiers, and meritorious people who have devoted and sacrificed their blood and bones for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023), on the morning of July 21, the working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee led by Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee visited, presented gifts, and encouraged policy beneficiaries at the War Invalids Nursing Center; Nghe An Province Mental Health Nursing Area for War Invalids and policy beneficiaries in Vinh City. Accompanying the delegation were representatives of leaders of departments, branches, and sectors at the provincial and Vinh City levels.

CenterNghe An War Invalids Nursing Center was established in 1974, is a unit implementing military rear policy work with the task of receiving, nursing, and treating wounded and sick soldiers. Currently, the Center is nurturing and caring for nearly 59 wounded, sick soldiers, and martyrs' wives from Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.

Over the years, the Center has always fulfilled its assigned tasks well; devotedly caring for, nursing, rehabilitating, and implementing policies and regimes for seriously wounded and sick soldiers.

Next, the delegation visited and presented gifts at the Nghe An Mental Health Nursing Center located in Nghi Phong Commune, Nghi Loc District. Currently, the unit is caring for, treating, nursing and rehabilitating 78 seriously wounded and sick soldiers.

At the places visited, Comrade Nguyen Van Thong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, kindly visited and encouraged the wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and meritorious people; shared the difficulties, hardships and disadvantages of the wounded soldiers. He expressed his deep emotion and gratitude for the contributions of the wounded soldiers, those who have devoted and sacrificed their blood for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that the Fatherland and the People will forever be grateful to the martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services to the revolution. On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, at the provincial and local levels, many practical and meaningful activities were organized to express gratitude to those with meritorious services, thereby partially compensating for difficulties and helping war invalids and sick soldiers overcome their illnesses. This is also an opportunity to educate the tradition of patriotism, the morality of drinking water and remembering the source, and remembering the person who planted the tree when eating the fruit, including the younger generation.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also acknowledged and commended the efforts, endeavors with spirit, responsibility and gratitude of the officers and staff of the two units who have taken care of and nurtured the meritorious people with affection and responsibility.

He also hoped that the officers and staff of the two units would continue to pay attention to and improve working methods, care for and help those with meritorious services, support wounded and sick soldiers in both material and spiritual life, and especially pay attention to the health of seriously wounded and sick soldiers.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee wished the wounded and sick soldiers good health, and hoped that the wounded and sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, and people with meritorious services to the revolution would continue to live healthily, overcome the pain of injuries, rest assured in their care, uphold the example of bravery, the will and bravery of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", and continue to contribute to building their families and homeland to become more and more prosperous.
