Impressive achievement of male student from 'rice country' who became valedictorian of block B
(Baonghean.vn) - Pham The Lam - a male student from Yen Thanh rice fields achieved high results in the 2023 high school graduation exam, being the valedictorian of group B of Nghe An province.
With a tall, thin, scholarly figure, Pham The Lam (born in 2005), residing in Hamlet 1, Tang Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District - a 12A2 student at Phan Dang Luu High School, is always loved by his friends, and even more admired when he was recently the valedictorian of block B in Nghe An province, and ranked in the top 5 nationwide.
Being the youngest in a family of 3 siblings, with difficult family circumstances, his mother, Nguyen Thi Ha (born in 1972), had to leave her husband and children to work abroad when Lam was just over 2 years old. Despite lacking his mother's affection, with his own courage and determination, Lam always tried to study well to help his parents in the future.
At home with his father and siblings, outside of school hours, Lam does all the housework in his free time. As for studying, his father and siblings always create the most favorable conditions for him so that he does not fall behind his peers.
In grade 3, Lam took the exam.Phan Dang Luu High School, about 6km from my house, and passed the entrance exam to the school's selective class. During the learning process, along with my own training and the knowledge of the teachers at school, Lam became more confident and courageous, and I have proven my ability, with impressive achievements when I became an excellent student in the 2022-2023 school year; Won the Second Prize in Chemistry at the provincial level for grade 12 in the 2022-2023 school year; Won the Third Prize in Mathematics at the provincial level for excellent students in grade 12 in the 2022-2023 school year.
In the recent high school graduation exam, Lam achieved a total score of 51.5. His B group scores include: Math: 9.8; Chemistry: 9.75; Biology: 10.0. With the results achieved, he is the candidate with the highest B group score in Nghe An province, in the top 5 candidates with the highest B group score nationwide. Currently, Lam has one hand on Hanoi Medical University, however, he is still considering other options for himself.
Lam shared: “I lacked my mother’s love, but in return, I received a lot of attention from my father and siblings. At school, teachers and friends all loved and cherished me wholeheartedly. That was a great motivation for me to achieve the results I have today.”
Sharing his study secrets, Lam said: “In addition to mastering the knowledge in textbooks and in class, I also proactively research and study additional documents online at home. For others, Biology may seem like a difficult subject, but for me, Biology is a subject that I am closely attached to.”
Sharing about Pham The Lam's achievements, Mr. Nguyen Van Ngoan - Principal of Phan Dang Luu High School said: "In this year's exam, Lam has achieved impressive results, bringing honor to the school, family and hometown. In particular, he is good at subjects such as Chemistry, Math, Biology, Physics. The results Lam achieved are completely worthy."
