Nghe An: Highlights on July 22
(Baonghean.vn) - Activities to celebrate War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27); Sports Festival for Petrolimex Workers, Civil Servants and Employees in the North Central region; Final round of the Creativity Contest for Nghe An Youth, Adolescents and Children 2022-2023... are the highlights of the day.
* On the morning of July 22, on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day,Delegation of Veterans Association of Central Organizing Committeecame to offer flowers and incense at the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs Cemetery.
The delegation respectfully offered incense at President Ho Chi Minh's Shrine; laid wreaths and offered incense at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs, expressing deep gratitude to the outstanding children across the country who fought bravely for the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland, and for the noble international duty.
On this occasion, the delegation presented 20 gifts to 20 families of war invalids and sick soldiers in Anh Son district. Each gift included 1 million VND in cash and 1 bag of medicine, with a total value of more than 40 million VND.
* On the afternoon of July 21, a delegation of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission offered incense and flowers at the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery.
In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation observed a minute of silence.pay tribute to the heroes and martyrswho fell for the cause of fighting for independence and freedom for the nation, for the noble and steadfast international sentiment between Vietnam and Laos. Offering incense to the souls of the martyrs, the delegation vowed to make every effort to contribute to building the country and homeland to become increasingly prosperous. We hope that the souls of the martyrs will bless the nation with peace and prosperity, Nghe An province will develop more and more, and the people will be prosperous and happy.

* On the morning of July 22, at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh City), the Opening Ceremony took place.Petrolimex Workers and Employees Sports FestivalNorth Central region in 2023.
The sports festival took place over 2 days (July 21-22) in Vinh City, with the participation of 13 delegations and nearly 300 athletes from units in the North Central region. The sports festival was organized with the aim of creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, meeting the desire to exchange, learn, enhance the spirit of solidarity and mutual understanding between employees and workers of units under the Vietnam National Petroleum Group in the North Central region.
* On the morning of July 22, at the Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College, the Final round of the 2022-2023 Nghe An Province Youth and Children's Creativity Contest took place, chaired by the Union of Science and Technology Associations, in coordination with the Department of Education and Training, Department of Science and Technology, Provincial Youth Union, and Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation.
This is a contest for children from 6 to 18 years old. The contest topics are in 5 areas, including: Creation and improvement of learning tools; Computer software; Environmentally friendly products; Household appliances and children's toys; Technical solutions to respond to climate change, protect the environment and develop the economy.
* At this time, Yen Thanh district is actively implementing to speed up the progress.construction of projects to upgrade weak reservoirs, ensuring safe flood crossing by the end of August. In the coming time, Yen Thanh district will continue to review and integrate capital sources from programs, projects and state capital to upgrade other weak reservoirs, in order to store water for rice irrigation and ensure safety during the rainy season.
