Sharing about the idea of implementing the program, Mr. Cao Huy - Head of the volunteer group said: The group has more than a dozen members who are young entrepreneurs in Dien Chau town and Cua Lo town. Previously, we often organized charity programs with many practical activities such as: Giving Mid-Autumn gifts to children in difficult circumstances; donating and giving food to areas locked down due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic; giving gifts to people in the Central region affected by natural disasters... Based on those charity programs, we want to deploy and maintain "Meals of Love" to share the difficulties with patients coming for treatment at Nghe An Trauma - Orthopedic Hospital. Photo: Dinh Tuyen

For more than 1 hour, 200 meals of rice and porridge, each worth 30,000 VND, were distributed free of charge to poor patients at Nghe An Trauma and Orthopedic Hospital. The food, including meat, fish, vegetables, and soup, ensuring nutrition and food safety, was prepared by the group members themselves and transported to the hospital yard by car. In cases where patients could not go to receive the meals, the group members brought them to their beds, along with wishes for a speedy recovery. Photo: Dinh Tuyen

Moved by the affection of the volunteer group members, Ms. Cao Thi Xoan in Huong Son district (Ha Tinh) said: “I have been treated at Nghe An Trauma and Orthopedics Hospital for many days. My family's circumstances are difficult, I have to manage all my daily activities alone. The meals that Mr. Cao Huy's group gave us not only help us reduce the cost of treatment, but also give us the motivation to overcome our circumstances and defeat the disease. That is a very kind, very precious and very welcome heart". Photo: Dinh Tuyen
