Immediately after receiving the report, the provincial police leaders directed the city police to coordinate with professional departments to establish a special project, mobilize maximum forces and means to urgently investigate and clarify the subject.
Using professional measures, on August 7, the Investigation Police Agency, Thai Binh City Police decided to prosecute and temporarily detain two subjects: Hoang Anh Tuan (born in 2002, residing in Nhan Cao 1 village, Thieu Quang commune, Thieu Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province) and Nguyen Kim Dong (born in 1998, residing in Trang Cat village, Kim An commune, Thanh Oai district, Hanoi city) to investigate and clarify the crime of property theft.
Through initial investigation, the two suspects confessed to committing four thefts on July 20 in Thai Binh city.
Before committing the crime here, the subjects had committed many thefts by breaking car windows in the provinces of Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Vinh Phuc and Hanoi city.
Notably, Hoang Anh Tuan and Nguyen Kim Dong did not know each other before, they only made an appointment through Facebook, and invited each other to commit the act of theft.
These subjects often take advantage of the night, going to deserted areas to look for people's cars left unattended in front of their houses, breaking the car windows to steal the property inside.
After that, the subjects went through many provinces and cities and returned to Linh Dam Lake area (Hanoi city) to divide the stolen property.
The Investigation Police Agency, Thai Binh City Police, has issued a search warrant for the residence of the above subjects and seized many related exhibits.
