Nghe An closes roads to serve the Marathon 'Ve mien vi, giam'
(Baonghean.vn) - On August 19, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Official Dispatch No. 6976/UBND-NC on implementing a plan to ensure traffic order and safety for the 2023 "Ve mien vi, giam" Marathon.
Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Police to direct the implementation of Traffic Safety Plan No. 2515/SVHTT-QLTDTT dated August 11, 2023 of the Department of Culture and Sports, which was agreed upon by Road Management Area II in Document No. 1348/KQLDBII-QLBTKCHTLT dated August 18, 2023; direct local police and units to arrange forces and vehicles to block at intersections with the tournament routes; guide traffic flow for vehicles and people to ensure traffic order and safety.
Traffic safety plan No. 2515/SVHTT-QLTDTT of the Department of Culture and Sports:
1. All road vehicles (motorized and non-motorized vehicles), pedestrians, and livestock are prohibited from traveling on Ho Tung Mau, Phan Dang Luu, Nguyen Viet Xuan streets and National Highway 46C in Vinh city, Cua Lo town, and Nghi Loc district during the event.Marathon "Returning to the region of Vi and Giam", specifically as follows:
- Ho Tung Mau Street: Section from the intersection with Nguyen Van Cu Street to the junction with Phan Dang Luu Street.
- Phan Dang Luu Street: Section from the intersection with Ho Tung Mau and Truong Thi streets to the junction with Nguyen Viet Xuan street.
- Nguyen Viet Xuan Street: Section from the intersection with Phan Dang Luu, Phong Dinh Cang, Vo Nguyen Hien streets to the location adjacent to National Highway 46C (at Km18+800).
National Highway 46C: Section from the intersection with Nguyen Viet Xuan Street to the intersection with Binh Minh Street, Cua Lo Town (specifically passing through the following areas: Hung Hoa Commune, Vinh City; Nghi Thai, Phuc Tho, Nghi Xuan Communes, Nghi Loc District and Nghi Hai Ward, Cua Lo Town).
2. Ban time: From 3:00 a.m. on August 20, 2023 to 9:00 a.m. on August 20, 2023.
In addition, it is recommended that Ha Tinh Provincial Police coordinate to organize remote traffic diversion for vehicles operating on the coastal route from Ha Tinh to Nghe An, and not allow vehicles to travel from Cua Hoi Bridge to Nghe An province during the Marathon.
The Department of Transport sent traffic inspectors to coordinate with police agencies and local authorities to participate in ensuring traffic order and safety on the routes where the Marathon took place.
The People's Committees of Vinh City, Cua Lo Town and Nghi Loc District announce on the local media system the contents of the Traffic Safety Plan No. 2515/SVHTT-QLTDTT for people to know and comply. Direct wards and communes to mobilize forces and means to coordinate with the police force to organize checkpoints at intersections with roads in the area during the Marathon; coordinate to ensure order and traffic safety on urban roads, district roads, commune roads, inter-village roads connecting to the routes where the race takes place.
