600 people participated in training on national border management and protection of Vietnam - Laos border markers
(Baonghean.vn) - From August 22-25, the Department of Foreign Affairs - the standing agency of the Border Steering Committee of Nghe An province organized a training course on national border management and protection of the Vietnam - Laos border marker system in the province.
600 people in border communes: My Ly, Bac Ly (Ky Son); Tri Le, Thong Thu (Que Phong) participated in the training.

The conference provided people in border communes with practical knowledge and information on the management and protection of national borders, the protection of the Vietnam - Laos border marker system; the prevention of illegal migration; illegal marriage in border areas; the work of ensuring security and order, the prevention of crimes and social evils in border areas; providing information and some measures on the prevention of crimes of illegal human trafficking, illegal exit for freelance work in Laos and some other countries...

The reporter also presented some outstanding information on the results of the work to strengthen and promote the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Laos in general and between Nghe An province and Lao provinces in particular.
Through the training, the reporters from the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Provincial Police, and the Provincial Border Guard Command also thoroughly grasped the basic contents of the Agreement on the Regulations on Border Management and Border Gates on Land between Vietnam and Laos; the Protocol on the Border Line and Border Markers between Vietnam and Laos; the provisions of the law on residence, exit, entry, and freelance labor in Laos, etc.

The information and knowledge provided at the training conferences have contributed to raising legal awareness among people in border areas on national border management and protection of Vietnam-Laos border markers; on preserving and promoting the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries. This activity also helps people better understand the provisions of the law in order to contribute to limiting illegal exit and freelance labor in Laos and some other countries./.
